Just a simple case of ear wigging into anothers conversation I suspect and a misinterpretation of the subject.
It is quite a funny one though.

Now Moggy you have got the start of a really good dicussion there.
So Political correctness has no place in law as it stands at the moment.
Obviously the racial card does have some laws attached as it can be abusive and in general is not accepted. Sexual harrasment is another issue male or female that has a place in law. Obviously I think in general its the harrasment part that really means the most as any type of harrasment is not nice.
So if someone comes and say to me you cant do this or that because it is no longer politically correct then basically I can tell them to ****** off unless I am actually breaking a law by doing what I am doing.
As for an off topic discussion.
Moggy surely a moderator only needs to read a thread if they have an interest in the thread. Or a complaint has been issued. Or you are watching the thread to see if it gets out of control or not.
I wouldnt have thought you would have to read every thread.
And another off topic point about the GD forum.
I wouldnt be that sad to see it go but it would cause a lot more off topic talk on the main forums. I think this was the reason GD was introduced in the first case. Personally as long as I can come here and share my thoughts, views and interest about aircraft I am happy enough. I can chat generally practically anywhere although not all forum have people of the same interest in them which is why having a GD forum here is so important.
Anyhow I am sure the bods at flypast and possibly the moderators will vote to keep GD as it does serve a purpose but possibly needs some rule changes.
There will always be those who spoil it for the rest of us.

Thanks for that Robert. Always welcome.
So does anyone want to actually discuss what Politically Correct actually means in the sense of British law and everyday life Or are we all bored of the subject and want to let this thread die here.

Hey Three Spool,
Well as I have always said when you see things written down in text sometimes you can take things the wrong way and I did.
So sorry I must have missed your little devil at the end. In fact no wait…… I missed the whole damned line. 🙂
Sorry mate.

Will do Peter,
We are hoping to get down for a couple of weekends over the summer. We are just waiting to see if the licence is issued. No reason why not but sometimes the MOD know things we dont.
On another note the PC and PC2 threads made me want to swear today.

I dont see my stepson and it hurt like hell everyday but that is a mixture of my own choice to make it easier on him and because of how I know the mother is.
You have my respect with what you are dealing with but you really should have removed the mothers name also.
Just to protect yourself from any kind of law suit having given out her name.

Three Spool
Who made you master and commander to what we can and cannot say on any particular thread.
Does each topic need to have an single thread dedicated to it discussion?
I am sure that a general discussion forum can be exactly that and indeed each thread can evolve from one subject to another easily without the need to stay on topic.
Is it just me or do some people just always have to have order or their brain turns to jelly.
Just my observation.
