I think with what you have said now Peter that you have been fair mentioning as much as you have.

I think Kev really has pointed out the CoC well enough that the Members should be reinstated immediately but warned from any further comment of said topic. And in addition the situation should be reviewed by the webmaster on their return.

I would imagine the threads have already been pulled and serve no futher purpose here.

I would also let the nameless know that the thread has been pulled and be advised that Key would review the situation on their return. I am assuming it is actually a personal threat of legal action and not commercial. And in that case it would be the members who would be liable and not Key.

Go on do the right thing discuss it between moderators and get our members back online tonight or tommorrow. There really isnt anything to lose as its all there in the small print.

Totally wrong on more than one account that respected forum members have been banned albeit until legal obligations have been checked.

I guess that Key have to be careful in what is said on their forums because it becomes their responsibility but if this is the action of nameless authority and Key jump every time a threat is made then why have a forum with members in the first place.

Because a great many knowledgable members have slipped through your net already. Try and not lose any more.

As it has come to light Mods acting on the side of caution and Key being slightly out of the loop at this moment in time. I stand by my comments and would like to clarify that I am not having a pop at Key but please review the situation carefully and quickly.

There is a lot of that latter kind of thing about at the moment. And more people than you’d credit being taken in by things that aren’t credible. 😉

To be perfectly honest with you if I was to offered a log book at the right price I could almost certainly be taken in by this kind of scam. That is at least until I started doing some research on the airframes etc.

I know there will be a lot of this and other scams going on just now. Look at the control stick scams not so long ago and the ebay spitfire pieces or dambuster pieces that we see almost any day.

I suppose the best defence against this kind of trade is to not have dealings with this type of trade at all.

Trouble is these people seem to never get caught.

My guess is something like the Typhoon. Which aircraft do you know that pulls back the stick and has to pull back the throttle so it doesnt go supersonic?

I also think that Moggy could be right with F18 but possibly F16 too.

What your forgetting people is that it matters not one cent which aircraft it was that he was flying the fact is a man lost his life in that accident. All the rest of the details will become apparent once the dust settles.
