RE: What Are You Scared Of?

    Spiders!!!

    Plain and simply spiders.

How many people have actually been bitten by one. I was and really do hate them but as frankvw said they can easy be defeated with something heavy on the head. That is the fate of all spiders in my house.

Mine would have to be the good old mossie. for a twin engine anyway.

But if you really want a good eyecatching ride then how about the twin mustang.

    my input

    Hi guys and girls

I would like to see a film not just about one particular band of men but from every aspect of the war.

We could have a big budget film from hollywood so you could have all the big names in the film and all the special effects you could want.

You could have the germans invading Poland etc etc. Then the air war in europe Dunkirk etc. then the invasion of Pearl and the americans coming on side. While all this is going on Canada and russia etc join in the war. After this the continued assault on france and germany and of course the desert battles and also the western front.

But with all this going on you could cut from allied to axis point of view with starting with a bomb from a allied plane then cutting to how it was for the axis and have them getting in their plane and bombing London then have the civilians point of view and end in sdeath and destruction followed on by a teenagers point of view seeing all the dead and going to join the army whos papers have been called and him in france etc the he shoots a german and then have the german commander point of view at losing a lot of his men and the list goes on and on and on.

A bit like Tora,Tora,Tora when it jumps from side to side.

I think the special effects are better done in hollywood then the are done in a BBC studio. the looked too fake. Well done all the same but as said before the story was weak. The shot of one lanc taxying and the other just taking off was fake as hell but I shouldnt complain elst the wont make anymore and then we will have nothing. But it is a pity Hollywood cant make a good Brit war film its alway American.

    I wonder why that is.

Does anyone really think that Hollywood has the stomach for making a war film after September 11th sorry to bring this in to the topic but I think it is a good point. I think that they are scared to make another war film just now incase it is seen in bad taste and is a flop.

What I say is too hell with all the PC just make the films and let us the viewing public decide we will soon let you know if we are happy or not.

Thanks for posting the pics for Dazza Ken. I now doubt that my pictures will come out as when I went to wind the film back the whole thing went slack like when its at the end of the roll winding it back in but when I opened it the bloody film was still there. Nightmare!!! will have to wait ans see what comes out.

Great shots Ken better than mine anyway.

I dont know if I took any pics of Black Mike but it is still in the same colurs. I think it kind of a historic scheme for this aircraft and dont think it wil change but if my photo come out I will look through them and post a couple here.

    >I wasnt thinking about people dying.<

I think that you were plain NOT thinking when you posted this reply. What you should have thought about were all the innocent people dying because some dic*heads thought that it would help their cause. When all it really did was bring about the might of a few countries on their own people. I think that the majority of Afghans are now better off now than when the were under the Taliban (spelling) rule. Maybe you should take your own dic* out of you own a*s and you might start thinking staight or should that be out of you mouth as you sure cant talk that well either.

Yeah only thanking him cause he could see what you were saying. I could see what you were saying also and agree in some respect Americans do need to be told about some things about the way the handle things or the way they do things. But the difference in me saying this is that the only way to do these things are over a table and a good drink. Flying a plane into the tallest building in NYC is not the way to do things you only get people annoyed and angry and forgive me if I think that haveing some pride in your own nation is a bad thing. I think that the American Eagle pulled not just Americans together in the dark days after but also pulled support from all over the world.I think this showed when even old American enemies were sending messages of help and their sorrow of what had happened.

Hate to tell you this but your thoughts are sick and so selfish. Should a nation suffer because of the actions of its government. The same goes for Iraq should the innocent suffer because of Saddam, No of course the shouldnt, but has Saddam not killed thousands of his own people and did he not take the aid given and use it for his soldiers and own men.

Before you all start calling me an American and alike I am actually Scottish and we have be hounded and slain by the English for hundreds of years but you dont see us ramming planes into English cities and I think we probably have more casue to.Realistically if you put the Terrorist infront of me and gave me a gun filled with bullets I would take the bullets out of the gun and bash their heads in until the were dead just to save the exspense of firing a round. This is my beliefs , ALL LIFE is sacred and let those who take a life perish by their own means, MURDER. and this is to mild a word for what they did. I wish we had the death sentance in Britain and this is often a topic in my workplace. I was once asked what I would do to people like the Killer of the recent case of the two girls who went missing and all of those before them. I said quite calmly I would be their executioner. I was then asked realy could I stand the though of taking a life in cold blood like that I said yes and the person talking said they could never do this and I said it was easy.

I am not a killer and never have been although I am a trained killer courtesy of HM forces. I just think it is easy to take the lives of those who have wronged us. I will never forget that day and anyone who can comment like Primer did and anyone who can support his post like Geoforce did does not deserve a place in this forum.

Geoforce I thought your original topic was agood one until I say your support for Primer then that thought went out the window.

    RE: Me Jaguar

Do you remember the bomber that the channel 4 Time Team dug up that was what they thought this one had done when it lost its way in the clouds.

Also heard a story of a pilot who looped and rolled his commercial liner just to show the capabilities to a load of buisiness types and was summoned before his boss after landing who said to him ” What the bloody hell do you think you were doing , if the public knew that the aircraft could go upside down the would never go on plane again.”

Actually I would feel safer knowing it could do it if need be.

Anway the pilot replied that he did it because he could. Simple and straight forward answer. Dont know if he kept his job or not.

So if a liner can do it so can a bomber.

Hi Moggy just to clear up this point.

You would be entered under the CWGC as a Commonwealth Death. I have once such person in a cemetry near me he has a plain stone something like granite and just a simple cross and his name and dates of birth and death. He is listed in the CWGC and so are a few civilian war dead such is a guy that was a bus driver with Scottish Motor Traction ( SMT ) he drove the local gunnery range bus and he is regitered with CWGC.

    so there you have it.

    Hi ja

***Wright Flyer: Well it was the first plane***

Actually this is a debatable point as a guy in Scotland actually flew before the wrights and flew longer but no one was there to see the flight ie. the records people or witneses so he doesnt get a credit but the wrights do. All credit to the Wrights for getting the proper people in place for their flight.

Personally give me a mini over an imp anyday but the reliant schimitar is a great car. I think the same goes in the car world as it does in aviation we all have different ideals and tastes.

The car I have a great deal of affection for is the new style of TVR sorry for not chossing a classic but the shape and style of the TVR’s are just great. But if we really must talk classics then give me a AC Shelby Cobra anyday.

The aircraft I really like prop wise would be the Typhoon it just looks great and jet wise it has to be the Hunter but the Sea Vixen really impressed me recently.

    RE: Flight Sims

Commanche 4 is amazing as is Il2 sturmovik.

The guy who let me use his comp for these actually downloaded the demo and then bought both sims next day.

I have CFS 1 I just like the simplistic way it runs good solid and reliable just how I like it.

But I do have FS2002 PRO on my comp at the moment but it slows my system down too much. I was actually amazed I could run it at all.

I run about with a cessna all over britain and it seems to run ok with this plane but not anything bigger. I really need more RAM and a Graphics card I run the intel 810 chipset at the moment.

Cant get EAW to run but I got it for nothing so cant really complain I will get it working eventually.
