    Dangerous Dave

So all you lot who constantly slag us off, keep a lookout for an HGV taster day, and go to an old airfield, jump in a large goods vehicle and show us that we are all doing it wrong and you can do it better!!!!!!!!!!”

As I said in my earlier post it is about observation, courtesy and consideration. Drivers of ANY vehicle either have it or they do not and it doesn’t matter whether it is a bike or an HGV. Without those attributes anyone is a bad driver. And you don’t have to jump in an HGV to prove it.

Neither knowing much and caring less, as is evident from my posts, a serious thought does however occur to me. If the English players played with English players together in their clubs, rather than being surrounded by players from foreign countries, might we be likely to a) have more choice of arguably better players and b) more likelihood of them playing better as a team?

I’ll probably be shot down by the fanatics, but just a thought.;)

I had lunch at the Red Lion last week – they are building a 71 bedroom Holiday inn express. No rooms this year – but for FL 2011 you may have another option for staying.

And I think I can guess at the room prices for that weekend!:(

Instead of slagging each other off why don’t you just accept the truth, which is that there are helluva lot of bl**dy awful motorists and HGV drivers on our roads. I spent many years as a motorist driving 50,000 plus miles a year and saw both in equal measure. I hope and like to think I am a reasonably good, but more importantly, observant and courteous driver. Bad drivers tend to lack both those attributes and HGV are no less blameworthy than motorists.

I would add that some of the best drivers I encountered over all those years were HGV drivers.
