    Do share with us how?

    Moggy

Is that a rhetorical question? Only overtake when you know that the conditions will allow you to do so in complete safety. I don’t understand the problem.

That course of action is always avoidable, but requires a degree of patience.;)

Point taken, Swerve, but I was only responding to a question from another post. To be continued in GD, where relevant.:)

:D:D But the serious point is that if the authorities took steps to improve driving, it would be a better result. Cameras are easy, cheap and contribute little or nothing to road safety, but plenty to the kitty.

This may be true and most people ar driven by price and they see the cheap flights and taken them.
But they come at a price , how many would know that the route to Frankfurt is in fact to Hann and a good way out of Frankfurt and that just one of many routes.
Will there come a time when people will realise that cheap flights are not always the best and go to other airlines that go to where they want to go.

I have often wondered that. When I flew frequently it was on company business on scheduled flag carriers and so I did not suffer the miseries of cheap flight. I have only used them a handful of times for “pleasure”, out of necessity and they do not appeal. Perhaps you are right – it will be interesting to see how air travel evolves over the next decade.

O’Leary might lose passengers in the short term but my betting is they will all be back within a few months. However hard he tries to antagonise them they keep coming back for more.

Pauldyson – you are undeniably right. However, much as many of us would happily blow up every one of these yellow eyesores, we have to accept that if we speed and get caught we have to pay the penalty.

My complaint is that their raison d’etre is flawed. They contribute zilch to reducing accidents and are simply a cash-cow for a bankrupt government. Once we separate the false relationship between “speed” and “accident” we might make some progress.

Accidents are caused by lousy driving, which many of us see every day and every journey. The lousy driver might also be speeding but often is not.

As an old British Midland traveller, way back, and a great admirer of Michael Bishop, I suppose I feel that with his demise and the Lufthansa take-over, perhaps, as someone else suggested, Lufthansa UK might not be such a bad idea.

    Ouch, that sounds really painfull.

If I am not mistaken then two out of your three parties have already shown that they are uncapable.

Would the third one be a promising choice?

Not a chance. They are banking on playing the “middle way” card whereas in truth they will do anything to get power through a hung parliament. Once the dewy eyed undecided voters see through Clegg and realise that a vote for him will put the disastrous Brown back in office they will back off. They are also passionately pro-Europe, which a majority of the UK electorate are not.

All the sources I have ever seen refer to Peshawar as the operating base. Whether this has been deliberate disinformation by the CIA I suppose we will never know, not that it matters anymore.
