TFC Corsair nose is the wrong colour, but does it really matter. As far as the Sea Vixen goes I would much prefer to see her in the sky than on the ground…

Come on it is always grey in the UK, so the Vixen looks right anyway…

    Duck to avoid teddies…

Mine has given up moaning and bought herself a warm jacket and scarf for those cold days at Duxford.

She even runs the desk at Classic Wings, briefs and loads. Can’t get much better than that. Even lent me some money to buy my Vampire.

I seem to remember that when Hot shots was filmed quite a few flyers were severely dammaged. I believe (and I am not to hot on Jets) that they took the engines out for transport, but failed to put the correct jig in to hold the aircraft straight. This resulted in a large number bananaing (not a word i am sure), and as such more had to be shipped for the filming.

Someone will know more than me I am sure

The CAA have made a point of coming down hard on pilots that run out of fuel (if this is what happened), to such a point of taking their licences. Pilots know this as it has been very high profile, but it has happened now the plane can be repaired with enough money andno one was hurt. As has been said read the AAIB report, learn from it so it doesn’t happen to you and move on!

Whenever I have asked anyone over there I have been met with disbeliving faces so I guess if they don’t know then we should just leave it. Good wind up though by whoever started it.
