My flatmate works there, nice little airfield, very nice bar and a Super Sabre I think on the airfield search for Andrewsfield Aviation on google.
Now that is a sexy plane… for Christmas I would like……
Definately!!!!!
No.. lack of good weather and plane, but fingers crossed off to France on Friday.
Sounds fair. Looks good from the pictures you have posted.
As it has been pointed out, if it is your aircraft it is upto you what colour you paint it. But I do wonder that someone who cares so much for that aircraft to buy it and spend a lot of money restoring it, you would have expected them to care about that aircraft, be passionate about it and at the least check that it was the right colour.
As long as it is preserved I don’t mind though, as has been pointed out the Americans did a better job than us.
Couldn’t even get the video to run, what is scary is that the people in my office said they wouldn’nt know any different and would hand over there money, if they wanted to do it.
Anyway time for the pub!!!
109 seems to have nosed over and squished the nose, but at least they have taken out all that metal blocking your vision.
Have to give them credit…. it is the funniest thing I have read today.
They have got to be having a laugh….have you seen the prices.
Dodgy replicas at that.
Oh I am sure they do, as I said I have never flown one, however you didn’t see the size of the guys that he had with him.
Is there a Region 2 version.. I love that series

Map, what’s a map????
Map… the object used to hit me round the head when I get lost.
David, I haven’t flown an Auster but have a friend who has and he got scared in it, having said that we usually fly a Super Cub.
I have nothing against Austers they look a nice little plane but I like to make sure I can get off thr runway without sweating.
That is only because you don’t want to get lost without being able to blame it on the other guy as well, or pointing to them as you get out in front of the clubhouse after doing five landings in one circuit.
Maybe that is just me…
I keep getting told to finish my PPL but I always go flying with a guy that has got an FIC anyway so whats teh difference going to be 🙂
There is plenty of power in an Auster… as long as there is only one of you in it downhill, with 4 knots straight down the strip.
Never flown one but heard the trim was really weird.
Well done!!! When I can drag myself into get my medical maybe I will join you.
Having seen so many people go through it I know how nerve racking it can be, well done at holding it together.
Now you will have to get on the taildraggers, most fun you can have without being in the pub.
