Thats great thank you.
If I sent you a pic from a bit we recovered from an excavation, could you possibly help identify it for me in time for an exhibition we are holding.
Not from the dinghy though.
Ta.
Did wonder about the air bottle and where it sat.
For some strange reason I thought it was packed into the underside of the aircraft.
Would anybody know of any pics with it in situ.
Thank you.
Thats different:D
Thats great, thank you very much.
Drem.
Thats no prob.
Hopefully quite a few bits on show.
Will supply details on how to get there soon.
If you still need details re the propellor, let us know.
Not sure if we will have it on show or not purely because of the size and transport.
Will do.
Story of the excavation also appeared in Novembers “Britain at War”.
Whole thing can be read about in there.
Opening times are….
Sat (If we are set up on time), 10am-4pm.
Sun 1pm-3pm
Almost forgot, how about “Sigh for a Merlin”. A good autobiographical story there.
Seem to remember reading about this possibly 4-5 years ago and the story is true by all accounts.
Wouldnt be at all surprised though if certain other stories have grown up:rolleyes: (No pun intende, honest),around it.

All the info I now need.
Cheers.:p
Len Deighton’s Bomber.
Hello all,
No pictures of the aircraft exist to my knowledge so it will be a very much hit and miss project.
Just thought though that I suppose any picture found of a 65 Sq Spit around 1943 should be of help.
Once again, my thanks to all for your help.
Drem.
Oops, forgot.
Any idea if the Sq codes would have been 24″ or 30″.
