    That’s funny, been told the emergency beacons had been activated. Though that was only after a dunking.

    It’s nice to find this thread. I’m luck to go on holiday to Le Muy every year, and have done since 1999.

    Le Muy is the first town to be liberated by allied troops during Dragoon. I have done some research on the area and enjoy being part of the celebrations every August 15.

    To answer the question on next year, there is work being undertaken to celebrate the 65th anniversary in style. According to people at this year’s event, there is a paradrop due on each of the main drop zones around Le Muy, but being around in 2004, this can be cancelled on the day.

    If they mirror the 2004 event, it’s worth being there, it was a excellent event. As for veterans, there was only one this year but a big hand goes out to the battle reinactment guys who turn up ever year.
