Kinda stupid roundabout argument.
A:Anti missile systems tested against supersonic target missile hoping that the target performs exactly like a Russian supersonic Ashm(that too various types of missiles with various engagement profiles)
B:Russian supersonic Ashm tested against ship antimissile defence systems hoping that the defence system is exactly like what is installed on the ships.(various types of defence with different engagement limits).
>>And the argument continues…till it actually happens.
let russia do everything else and provide the electronics and engineers so that the indian shipyards can fit the wiring themselves with the supervision of russian engineers.
1.I dont think it can be towed to Indian shipyards.Others will be able to tell properly.
2.Can Indian shipyards handle ship of that tonnage?
3.Indian shipyards for now are full..no space.
4.Not only about the engineers but also the tooling. Are shipyards here equipped to do that sort of job?
5.I hate to say it but the manpower here at the yards doesnt exactly inspire much confidence.

MOSCOW: India and Russia could jointly develop a new generation space shuttle for manned space flights and negotiations for the project are expected to begin in January, according to a top space official.
“India has expressed desire to participate in the development of a new reusable manned spaceship and from January next we will discuss this issue with the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation,” Chief of Russia’s Federal Space Agency, Roskosmos, Anatoly Perminov said.
Although Perminov did not identify the project, but ‘Energia’ Corporation is reportedly developing reusable spacecraft ‘Clipper’, which is expected to replace Soviet-designed Soyuz spaceships in Russia’s national space programme.
Perminov said India was Russia’s privileged space partner with which it was working in different directions and has granted Indian space experts access to many of its ground control facilities.
“With India we are interacting in carrier rockets, their components, dual use systems, global positioning system GLONASS and mission control and ground tracking equipment,” Perminov said here at an year-end news conference.
Russia, which launched three satellites on Christmas to commercially operationalise Soviet developed global navigation satellite system (GLONASS), has taken India onboard in further developing of the system to end dependence on the Pentagon controlled Global Positioning System (GPS), which was twice switched off to enable US strikes during the Balkan and Iraq wars.
nothing special..
Indian, Russian officials to hold talks on Admiral Gorshkov
New Delhi, Dec 28: In another bid to iron out differences over cost escalation of weapons systems including the aircraft carrier Admiral Groshkov, Indian and Russian defence officials open crucial talks next week.
The talks are being held after months of intensive informal counsultations and exchange of communication between the two sides on the issues, defence officials said here.
A Russian defence delegation and representatives of its armament industry arrives here this month-end.
The delegation will hold talks with Indian officials led by Defence Secretary Vijay Singh and top officials of defence finance.
Delivery of the naval carrier, which was scheduled in August next year, has been hit by Russians` demand for a whooping 1.5 billion dollars as the warship now being upgraded in its shipyards would need almost 2,000kms of extra wiring to make its command and operational integeration effective.
Under a contract signed in 2004, India had agreed to pay 1.2 billion US dollars for revamp of the carrier.
Ahead of the talks, Defence Minister A K Antony had held two days of crucial consultations with his top officials to firm up India`s stand at the parleys.
Antony had a 120-minute meeting with the Naval Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta yesterday. The meeting was followed by Indian Ambassador to Moscow P P Shukla briefing the minister on the subject.
The meeting assumes significance as the Naval Chief has publicly expressed force`s opposition to agreeing to any price escalation for Gorshkov. Mehta had said that if India agreed to such midway escalations of weapons system awaiting deliveries, there could be similar demands from other nations.
Defence Minister today held consultations with his Scientific Advisor, Dr M Natrajan.
Besides, working out the new delivery schedule of the carrier, Antony and top officials also discussed the delay in supply of three other Talwar class stealth warships from Russia.
Other issues like Indian proposal to purchase 80 more MI-17 medium lift helicopters for the IAF are also likely to figure in the talks.
While the delivery dates of the carrier are still uncertain, India would be getting the MIG-29K fighters from early next year.
These fighters are likely to be stationed at Goa and cochin for training purposes. Two batches of naval pilots have recently returned from US to fly these fighters.

Either –
1) buy something else
or –
2) make the handover of technology a condition of the handover of any cash, have it strictly defined in writing, with a strict timetable – and a backup offer from an alternative supplier you can fall back on.
To tell you the truth I have totally lost faith on the MoD to sign a strictly defined contract.the way its been happening with the navy cases I sometimes wonder whether they had done a verbal contract with Rosoboronexport or whether they handed over the signatures on a white sheet of paper!
The following news report by a popular Aviation blog, confirms the outline of PAK-FA’s structural composition by either participating country :-
WoW! Lots of interesting data there:
1.20% equipment and 50% intellectual property rights.
2.Development of sea-based variant
3.100 for the IAf>>Six squadrons.
Remember the UK & JSF. We had assurances of permits, & access to software, which then evaporated in the breeze. And the UK is a Tier 1 development partner.
And so your advice is…:diablo:
And do you not consider indian muslims as indians?
Oh please! They are as much as a part of India as are Sikhs,Buddhists,Christians,Jains,Jews etc.And more often than not everybody is at peace with each other .Look and you will find muslims occupying important positions and shaping Indian destiny. But no whenever you see Muslims getting cosy with Hindus or vice versa you guys[not you personally] get so jealous that you begin to say “they are not true muslims”.Once I visited some Pak forum and such filthy things were being said about Prof.Abdul Kalam.Who Mohammed/Imam are you to judge them?
hyperwarp is the best guy!He even downthumbs his own posts. :p
cheers dude. You get a beer from me if I ever meet you!:)
Oh Nick..I see you are on Holiday!:p
For those who dont know , besides being all other things;) Nick is an excellent historian type. All those who argue with Nick on subcontinental history are going to get a bloody nose.
There is no need to fight for something so obvious such as the difference between a extremist country and a stable democracy. And the difference is increasing day by day since the liberation in 1947.I will say what , the Pakistani posters here are suffering from immense frustration at the condition in which Pakistan finds itself today with the negative events going on everywhere and as a result all this venting in the forum.Well as human beings we empathise with the ordinary pakistani citizen but in the end its all your creation.Stop looking for somebody else to blame always for your problems.[India,RAW,Israel,Zionists,US,Hindus , christians,Jews etc etc etc].the first step to solve one’s problem is to accept that tHere is one.
I think Victor said the most important thing here. The main thing for India to learn is how to make a good WALL along its north western border[Israel is the country to follow].We DONT care whats going on in your country dudes as long as you dont mess with us.
Problem is the selection of correct polymorphic forensic microsatellite markers.
selection of correct markers can be a problem with the mitochondrial DNA.However these problems are accepted part of DNa sequencing. And still DNA can be sequenced with high fidelty today.Plus various types of molecular markers are available which can be used to verify.
I myself is a molecular biologist. Don’t tell me about science or DNA. At best your mentioned reports are controversial. I can however, explain nitty gritty of DNA mapping and its short coming if you insist on it.
What Nick says is absolutely true. The Aryan invasion theory was concocted by MaxMueller and has been proven wrong.I also happen to know quite a bit of molecular biology. So what have you to explain?
equality is unacceptable to islamists. expect all those who hold onto such concepts to be targets for the jihadis.
That is the root problem which causes all the violence. And the solution to all problems in Islam is jihad.

ah, rayrubik. see bjps crime is that it has the guts to stand upto islamic fundamentalists, anyone who does that needs to be wiped out.
Its about time too that minority appeasement stops and somebody who can step upto them is in power.
