I guess so, that would be like what – 10% of mission time?
Dont know what percentage…should be something around that figure. It will start from the time from when the controllers get into the plane…taxi..take off…fly to station…and then again the same while coming back.
Don’t know. Is there a need for it?
Well…cant say…unless i fly(or sit) in that situation for sometime.. its really awkward sitting when your chairs tilted sideways and that too at what angle..25-30 degrees(?)…might require a supply of diclofenac gel for the neck 😀
If they had planes it doesn’t necessarily mean that they also had the manuals.
I thought manuals were easier to get than actual aircrafts. And without them it wud be really difficult flying them as well.
Btw….does any information exist to show that Russians having acquired US(or western) aircraft for developing combat tactics etc….since some of Russia’s allies have Western aircraft in their inventories?Maybe if not totally buy those, still i wud think the Russians regularly DACTed with them?….Curious.
Because they want to fly slow in order to stay on station during most missions. That implies high angle of attack, especially on jets such as the Embraer 145 which Greece operates. Hence the steps to make the crew sit horizontal during slow cruise.

Cliff
So if i got it correctly what you meant…then during level flight or even during taxiing on the runway, the controllers would be seated at an awkward angle to the floor?Or are the seats adjustable like that?
Btw…..in the interior pix….the ceiling looks slanted as we go farther doesnt it and the operators seem to be sitting in steps. Why is that?

😀 ……..figures.
that is why Pakistan should not trust US much. China will always give supply steady.
Without going through any reasons like waziristan….its understandable for you to say this…. 😉

Those links were really good. And the Hind looks even more dangerous :diablo: albeit a bit more congested at the front.Thanx again MLD.
Su-35 uses the N-035 Irbis radar with the EKSV computer system, OLS-35/KOLS-35 IIR/TV/IRST, MAK-35 Display system (2 MFI-35 9×12 inches AMLCD, MFPU, IKSh-1M wide HUD plus one back-up MFD), KRNPO-35 nav/attack system (with the LINS-2000 laser gyro INS) and the L-175M Khibiny-M EW system between other known pieces of equipment.
Fiber Optic databuse arquitecture, center-federal computer arquitecture and Multi-Sensor Integration logic.
What?the Irbis is already ready?Wasnt it in the contract for fitting the MKIs with it?
What radar is the Su35 havin? Is it the N011?
MLD,thanks a lot for the info and the link.
You’ve got such drivel on english speaking/US forums also. Just take a look at strategypage.com.
Nic
Very true actually.Who people runs that site anyway?
MLD,
Thanks…but i already saw that report when u posted it in the previous thread.
And…what helos are those at the bottom of ur first post(i mean those 3 pix in a row, just above the Mi24 front profile)?
Mig23MLD……what are those pix of at the bottom of your first post?
Do you have any pix of the Super-Hind upgrade of SA?
Thanx.
Edited: Double Post.
Current Su-35 advertisment talks of a 3M54A “Club” Missile. There is no currently plans or physical “airborne launched” Club, but sure it could be done…if not, why to advertise it?
The airlaunched variant of the Klub already exists.
“Reportedly, an air-launched variant is being examined by the Indian Navy to arm it’s long-range Tu-142M maritime patrol aircraft.”
