    RE: Iraq : who’s in?

“Can anyone give me some reasonable explenations why Russia is not allowed to fight the terrorists on its own soil”

    Geforce,

Its because the soil of Chechnya is soaked in a particularly high quality and quantity of crude oil and the soil of Georgia lies on the route of a proposed US pipeline (carrying Caucasian oil to the Black sea from where it can reach the US as quickly and cheaply as possible).

    RE: Iraq : who’s in?

The way I see it is that European Allies are more or less irrelevant. Even Britain’s contribution couldn’t change the outcome of a war, the US could do it all on it’s own militarily. However, if Arabia (as a whole) disagrees with a war with Iraq things could get quite difficult for the Americans. Their bases in the ME would be targets for “terrorism” (or non-conventional operations), their ships wouldn’t be safe in Arab ports even their puppet regimes could buckle under popular pressure.

Also if the Pansiki gorge row unfolds in a negative fashion is it possible that we could see Russian weapons “smuggled” into Iraq? What is the likelyhood that this has been happening already?

RE: Iraqi doesnt produce chemical weapons according to an American former UN inspector

Didn’t the gentleman in question try to quit over a row with the US Govt because they were using his inspection teams as cover for CIA operatives? Personally I wouldn’t allow inspectors back into my country if they had a history of spying.

    RE: James Bond’s Gun

I’ve never enjoyed the (questionable) pleasures of shooting a PPK but an Aussie friend of mine informs me that it cannot be fitted with a silencer (like in Dr. No), is that why they went with the PP throughout the film?

    RE: Arms exporting countries

At number four we have France.

Only just pushing in to the third spot above the cheese-eating surrender monkeys are the Ruskies.

Battling off the dirty commies are the gentlemanly Brits, comfortably languishing in second place.

The front runners are, surprise surprise….

    ….. the Yanks!

RE: Your fav place in the world?

Hmmmm… My favourite place in the world? Is “my girlfriend’s arms” a valid answer? No, seriously, I have always had trouble deciding that one. I love London but there’s a lot of crime and dirt and hostility etc. I love Belgrade but there’s a lot of dirt and living there would be a nightmare with all the beurocracy and red tape flying around. So I’ve decided to go for Florence and the surrounding Tuscan countryside… Simply perfect!

    RE: GeForce

Good one about Aussies and South Africans in London – more a statement of fact than a joke – still made me laugh though.
