    Geforce,

I will change the tone of my discourse with you because you are quite young, and obviously from some of your rhetoric quite naive. Just take a second to think about his, I flew in the first Gulf War, and I was there, after the cease-fire agreement was signed, Part of that agreement, which was signed by the Iraqi government was that Saddam had to TOTALLY DISARM in FIFTEEN DAYS!! Thats 15 days starting on Feb 28th or so 1991!! Now think about this , at that moment in time, you were 7 repeat SEVEN YEARS OLD, You were probably watching the Tele-tubbies or Barney. This is not meant to ridicule you, just to give you some perspective about how long Saddam has been playing this game and how inneffective the UN has been to get him to come clean. 12 years is a long time. Yesterday Saddam fired numerous missiles at Allied troops, missiles such as SCUDS and Al-Summouds, He said he didn’t have any of these weapons!!! Certainly the Scuds were banned, and the Al-Summouds were fired from longer ranges than permitted by the UN. You are young and may think this is a game, its exciting to protest and put down the evil super-power. But, take a visit to Bastogne and talk to some of the older residents of that famous town, See where evil American soldiers died on frozen fields defending YOUR country. And maybe you may understand and realize what can happen when good nations sit idlely by and do NOTHING in the face of Evil. I’m truly sorry alot of the world is against this war, but I really don’t care, This is OUR fight, and I give great credit and admiration to England and our other allies for taking a brave stance against this cancer, despite what you see on your leftist media, most Americans have said enough is enough.

    Ageorge,
Amen!!!! Funny how Saddam has launched numerous missile attcks at Allied forces, Missiles such as Scuds and Al Sumouds that He denied he had!!!!
Also, how sad to see Kofi Anan (Sp?) on TV stating that given a little more time we (The UN) could have gotten Saddam to Disarm!!!! as if Twelve years was’nt enough!! God Bless all those troops, especially the British and Austrailians. Finally this cancer known as Hussein will be removed from the world stage, and evry country in the world will secretly breath a sigh of relief, even though politically they may deny it! The time to act has come.

There were quite a few protests in the streets today (New York City) I must say it was preferable to the street scenes that I witnessed on Sept 11th, and that is what I we are fighting for!!!!

PS The Iraqi armed forces are beginning to show the by-product of their close alliance with the French military……They are surrendering in Droves!!!!!

Also, I heard there was a large earthquake registered in France recently, Scientists attributed this to 70,000 dead American Soldiers turning in their graves simultaneously!

Geforce, I did not know your only 19 years old, you are literally a babe in the woods, it is pointless to debate you, live a little before you spout some of your opinions, not that you don’t have the right to, I thought you were much older and knowledgable.

    Zippo,

Agent orange was initailly a defoilant, used with the intent of killing the thick jungle foilage that was hiding the Viet-Cong, It was a dumb idea, and at the time many felt it wasn’t dangerous. Did you know the US used DDT widely all over the country to control bugs! I used to chase a truck when I was younger that would drive down my block as it sprayed the stuff!! (Go ahead with the smart remarks!!!) at the time we didin’t know, how dangerous that stuff was! same thing with Asbestos!!!! The beauty of a democracy is eventually these things get exposed and people or corporations pay the price. Diplomacy is a dirty business, You heard of the old adage
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” The US was allied with Stalin for Gods sake!!! Bottom line, I don’t think everything the US does is right , but for the most part we (US and western Europe) have kept the peace and tried to do the right thing for peoples throughout the world. The US is now confronted by fanatics who despise us, not for our policies, but essentially for the freedom we represent and it is this freedom that doesn’t jibe with their 6th century notions of what the world should be, They want a world where women are hooded, not-educated, No religious freedom etc etc, While Saddam isn’t fully aligned with these groups, they do share a hatred of the US and I believe would jump at any chance to get back at us, They did it in the 1993 World Trade center Attacks, and various other attacks culminating with Sept 11, One US President sat by idly and did nothing about this, while He chased 19 year olds, this President feels something must be done. You don’t have to agree with us, Bush’s biggest mistake was trying to get the world on board, This is our fight and we’ll be happy to deal with it ourselves.
Just remember Al-Qeada planned on bombibg the Millenium Wheel in London, and also operatives were found with Sarin Gas in London, these scum hate all of us including Spain, I know 5 people who were killed at the World Trade Center, (I live near NYC) and my fellow squadronmate in the Air Force was the Co-pilot on United Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania, so obviously I have a different view point than you. Call me a war-monger, but the difference is I will be fighting in this war while you watch it on TV. And the last thing any of us in the US Armed Forces wants to do is go to that Godforsaken desert (again) and leave our families behind………..warmonger? I think not.

I do know the answer ;Saddam Hussein!! He’s also statred 2 wars, Invading Iran, and then when that didn’t go his way, he invades Kuwait because he didn’t want to pay them monies owed for his Iran war effort! Plawolf,

Do the Germans and Japaneese hate us because we bombed them and destroyed their cities? Hell we even nuked the Japaneese!! Following your logic we should never defend ourselves for fear that reprisals will follow. Funny how Libya has quieted down quite a bit since Reagan sent him a message. And if one were to follow your logic, please answer this question:

“What actions did the US do to immediately prior to the Sept 11th attacks?” what prompted these attacks?
But I guess you feel its better to do nothing and hope these people will learn to like us.

Asa pilot who flies for an airline that flies both Boeing and Airbus in our fleet, the consensus seems to be that Boeings are built stronger and last longer than the Bus’s. Maintenance wise the Bus’s seem to be more prone to little nit-noid problems, and pilots that have flown both (we have brand-new A-300’s as well as 757/767 )seem to prefer the Boeings. Granted the A-300 are not the state of the art jet the A-330 are, but friends at USAir share the same sentiments, and they have the A-330. This is not a US vs. Europe issue either since most prefer the A-320 series over the 737, but all admit you can’t break these Boeings. As a 727 pilot I’ll attest that our 727’s are 99% reliable and I’ve only cancelled 2 flights in 8 years. Bottom line one is not superior to the other just different.

    Zippo,mixtec,

Zippo, what a pathetic apologist for a tyrant like Saddam, and Mixtec, Ask how did the US get involved in this mess to begin with? Kuwait was invaded by Iraq, and as usual the US has to come in to get the job done since nobody else has the force necesssary, Do you honestly believe that Americans want to be embroiled in this Mess? and if we are such power-hungry people why didn’t we just annex the entire world after WWII Since we had a monoploy on Atomic weopons and could have easily used them ??? It must be nice going through life with Blinders on!
