    Nice shots Matt,

I saw the Dragonair (Cathay) flying over my house earlyer as CPA039 – glad to see it got down safely. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Good news for Newcastle!. I didn’t realise Ryanair had any “based” aircraft ?. We seem to get their whole fleet in at Newcastle, or do they only have a handful of bases (of which Newcastle is not one) ?

    Regards,
    Andy

To Newcastle, Ryanair fly from Shannon, Dublin and Girona (all are bases), so the majority of the time you’ll see their aircraft, but you may see Stansted based aircraft ever now and again.

    For example,
    STN-DUB-NCL-DUB-STN

Ryanair are a good airline as far as i’m concerned, and definitely the best value for money! (or not in this case :p)

I’d much rather fly Ryanair over a charter airline any day!

    Great mixture!

The KLM/DLH shot & the Red Arrows shot are the pick of the bunch for me.

Only Economy (and higher) can choose where they sit, economy saver or whatever they call it (which is ยฃ2 cheaper than economy) doesn’t allow you to.

If you are traveling in economy+, once you’ve checked in (online), you can’t change your seat.

The chances are the flight wont be full, so just wait until the seatbelt sign has been turned off, and ask to move – it worked for me.

    Fantastic work there Lance,

Looks like you were in heaven (so many biz jets!)

The EZY A319 does it for me though, good work.

My thoughts too, and anyone else in doubt should try and catch the often aired Discovery Channel documentary about the massive engineering problems the builders of Chep Lap Kok faced. Not insurmountable but hugely expensive and complex !

Do you mean Kai Tak? (Or did they do VHHH too…)

    ‘DayJet Discontinues Passenger Operations

As of September 19, 2008, DayJet Services, LLC, has discontinued its jet services and cancelled all future flights as a result of the companyโ€™s inability to arrange critical financing in the midst of the current global financial crisis.

We regret the disruption and hardship caused by the sudden shutdown of DayJet services to our customers, employees, DayPort communities, suppliers and stockholders. Unfortunately, DayJet is unable to honor customer reservations or issue refunds.’

All he seems to have done, is miss out half of his words, and put a rather crap generic-foreign accent.
