There’s no SOP for engaging the autopilot, but this is usually done in the initial climb (500ft – 5000ft).

The autopilot is usually disconnected when landing clearance is received – as it’s safer to let the A/P do a G/A then the pilot themselves. (If you listen to a scanner at LHR, you can here all the airbus A/P’s been disconnected when the aircraft is cleared to land.

See them all the time in GCI & JER, Blue Island have a few. Do Eastern still fly the 31?

    Nope they have 30 aircraft, 24 JS41’s, and 6 SB20’s.

So, anyone who visits LBA often, please answer this.

Lets assume Ryanair have a base at Leeds/Bradford and eventually fly to 20 different destinations, that means possibly 4-5 of Ryanairs aircraft based there, if you add all the Jet2 aircraft, plus BMI, Eastern etc, where will all these aircraft park at night ?

There’s plenty of room at LBA, especially with the new remote stands. It would just be more ‘cosy’ with 5 RYR aircraft parked up.

It’s an aircraft, it’s designed to be in the air, and flying ’14 hours’ a day wont do it any harm.

Would you rather spend an extra £100 on a ticket just so you don’t have a yellow cabin? I think not… I’ve traveled in Economy and in Business, i’ve flown in Cessna’s and i’ve flown in 777’s, and I personally find nothing wrong with the comfort levels of FR’s cabin (i’m sure they have more leg room than LS), and isn’t that what people want?!?

If RYR offer cheaper flights, with more leg room, it’s a no brainer.

EXS over charge so much for what they are actually offering, and i’m going to have to agree with Paul on this one. ()

Paul, you can’t really blame LS for not doing a loyalty program, not many (if any) charter airlines do.

38000ft flying east, I don’t believe that for one second. :p

Or was this on the outbound flight, and it diverted on the inbound?

Nice shot, but Emirates ICAO is UAE.

A senior purser will be on every flight (obviously).

And it’s about publicity and money.

What a shame! That is awful compared to the Boeing house colours. I saw the 77F when I was in Seattle last month – both at the Boeing factory and on short finals into Boeing Field – and it was a gorgeous aircraft to watch. Aw well!

    Short final 😀
