In defence of lukeylad, having dispatched a/c for a living for numerous airlines…the knowledge of each individual a/c is a must as each aircraft is unique…we quite often referred to G-BPOB (767 – now with xl) as “Oscar Bob” as everyone knew its characteristics…(i.e. balance etc..)
