This nose turned up at Pima some years ago.
A nosewheel version…:D
Didn’t I hear there was another one needing a home at Long Marston?……
Similar to the Enstrom Shark 😀
Alaparma Baldo 75 I-DONP seems even better….
I recently bought a Garmin with world maps. It works great in the UK and no probs at all during 2 weeks touring AZ & CA over Xmas. It was about £159 and worth every penny! Oh yes, I also have an old small Garmin I’ve used for about 6 years and apart from the odd trip through fields (according to the map) it’s also been great. It would still be fine if I upgraded it’s maps.

And in the beginning…
3 more engines
Woman in a gyrocopter!
I can hardly container my excitement…
One from Upper Heyford was lost in about 1972 when it had a control malfunction. That dumped its fuel before crashing somewhere near Buckingham. That one trailed a flame before coming down. I think the crew ejected safely before impact. I know this as I saw it while having a coffee in my office in Aylesbury. It was only later when I saw the news on the TV that it all slotted together.
On the subject of Heyford F-111’s. They used to pass over my office in Shefford, Beds in bevies of 1 to 4 aircraft on very long finals to Heyford.
3 of a kind…
Flame suppressor 😀
Back in the day, lots of aircraft were flown that low. I thought I was going to lose my head once at Biggin when Ormond Hayden-Bailey took off in his T-33 towards the road and was lower than head height, pulling up only at the last minute. I can stiff feel the heat of its exhaust!
Don Bullock was probably the worst offender with many literally frightening displays. On one occasion I recall him, in Sally B, heading direct for the crowd at Duxford, only feet above the ground, pulling up at the last minute. For him it was the norm and that cost him his, and others lives.
