She is getting nearer to completion, egrs are scheduled for around Feb/ Mar next year. Followed by a trip to the paintshop to finish the camo and rectify the roundel colours.

I know it doesn’t show all Marks but it does show the Mk 21 as XXI. I just posted the chart for interest. The link is interesting especially as they are selling pilots notes for BBMF a/c that are no longer current and are possibly still subject to crown copy right.

Here is a copy of a drawing from the BBMF archive showing some late Spitfire marks in Roman numerals

MK356 does indeed have the wings from a mk16 and until its rebuild by arc had a merlin 266 fitted making it in theory a mk16.Its now fitted with the correct merlin 63

MK had a Merlin 500 series engine until she went to Arco for her major servicing plus respar she now has a Packard 266 installed and not a Merlin 63

The colour scheme is staying the same but this time, hopefully, it will stay on the aircraft. Should return to us at BBMF about the 1st Aug.

Plus P7350 is changing its sqn and codes this week 🙂

Yes it was the cannon was operated by a button on top of the control column grip which had a guard over it. When the guard was lifted it became the operating lever for the mgs

Both colours used by yourself on our a/c:), the red is iffy as it is semi gloss where as the rest is matt. Red will be matt when rear fillets are fitted and painted
