The only reference I can find is:

but I suspect that is where you got your police report.
Maybe contacting the Slaugham archivist might help.
Agreed Bruce. The left “wing” looks to have a flap rather than an elevator.
I’ve sent an email to the store to see if they know!
Brilliant to the last two posters. I hadn’t thought of that, but I think you are right!
In the move from its former home this boom has lost its bullet fairing. I had not realised that the fairing simply fitted over the fin to boom structure.
As we have exchanged privately, Andy, I am very sorry to hear this news. From the Swiss and Italian news reports I unearthed it was a Pipistrel Sinus motor glider, which I had the pleasure of flying some time ago. As I am in the Alps on the other side from Treviso at the moment, I think of him. The aviation preservation world has lost a driving force.
Could it be the Breitling DC-3 HB-IRJ?
Sorry avion, but I am about to leave , and I shall not be able to monitor replies within the regulation 48 hours, so please go ahead, or open the house. I’ll do one next time round, if I win one!
shows three photos of this event! Thanks for pointing it out LM. Also photo at:

I think I should offer this to Avion Ancien as he put me onto the Brooklands lead. In any case I shall be away for a few days. Over to you, mon ami.
Henderson-Glenny Gadfly III G-AARK
On second thoughts I found this on Getty images:

I found a photo of Tommy Sopwith in a monoplane at Brooklands, ca 1913. Is it he flying?
You’re right, Monsieur Ancien.
So who has the next go? Lightning or Ancien? 50% each!
Hare (LM) or tortoise (AA)? Winner takes all. First past the post.
Lightning Mate
Correct. But what aircraft?
Sorry LM, but I was going on what ericmunk said 2 posts ago.
OK, then. Try this one with its very smart crew around it. Who are the operators, by the way?
LM: you got Gull so please go ahead.
