Hi there Rob

The Me Jaguar (Bf 162) was a twin engined light bomber used by the Germans early in the war. It used 2 DB 600Aa engines producing 986 hp each. It had a fairly handy bombload of around 2000lbs and a top speed of around 450-500km/h.

If you go to [http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/LRG/bf162.html] it will tell you everything you need to know.:) Its says here that it was derived from the Bf 110 you can see the resemblence.

Hi there

Yes Spitfires have had shark mouths painted on them, No. 457 Australian Squadron, known as the Grey Nurse Squadron after the Grey Nurse shark (funny that). There is one flying at the moment with these markings. It is owned by the Temora Aviation Museum.

There is some disagreement as to whether No.112 Squadron or the American Volunteer Group fighting in China was the first to apply shark mouths during ww2, most think it was 112.

Of course there are WW2 pilots alive, i’ve met a few, they are in their eighties most of them but still have good stories to tell.

That pic of the He111 over the Thames is a very common one, almost any book on the Battle of Britian will have that photo in it.

That pic of the Lanc being run up at night is quite impressive, i have a similar one in one of my books but it is a Ju88 instead of a lanc.
