As a matter of fact many nations have very vocally claimed they will not allow Iran to acquire Nuclear Weapons………Again you like to say its only the US. When its in fact the majority of the free world.;)
I like to say what?
Come on now don’t be silly. I didn’t say anything other than you guys can’t afford a war with Iran. Whatever the motives.

The translation is pretty bad!

The US didn’t create Saddam……………Thought we did play him against Iran!;) As for what you think. We clearly don’t care…………..but what countries like Iran do. We very much do and will stop them by whatever means necessary.
Better start selling the already small number of F22s you got to Japan and Australia to pay for your iranian invasion.
Israel will probably pick up what’s left :diablo:

I would like to see fitted a 7.62 gatling gun (or a M61 if there is enough room, or even the 3 barrel cannon of the Bronco) on a 360° turret at the lower back of the plane (à la Ov10), coupled to a an IRST pod to be controlled by the weapons officer it could be used for precision strike along the other weapons to be carried. Ideally, that turret would be slaved with a 360° MAWS, which would automatically take control of the turret and use it like a phalanx type defense again incoming SAMs

I think it would be better to stick to a solid radial instead of some fancy complicated turboprop. The thing needs to be sturdy. Unless you think it would be as tough as a radial?
Also they’d be new built with lighter tougher material, side by side two seat versions with the bay in the back to carry people or be able to house an observer, or even a side gun? and capable of firing paveways/JDAMS/hellfires.

I think a turboprop trainer would be too fragile for the COIN role. While the skyraider was a very tough plane. You could use the airframe with a new engine to get even better endurance and payload.
It seems more sensible to me than new built OV10 if you want to go that route.

Good on the IAF to evaluate the block 60, since it will give them a good idea of the UAE capabilities, and to a lesser extent on the block 52s.

If its pure politics then Rafale would be chosen, as its a centrist choice away from Russia and U.S.
False. Purchasing a US plane would keep the balance since the IAF doesn’t operate a US jet so far. Besides, independancy from the US or Russia is far from being the only political tool. They could choose the US for more cooperation on the nuclear, or for better cooperation (that would probably lower US resolve to help Pakistan just in case), or even just on economics tradeoff…

A US plane will be chosen due to politics. No point spending too much money on the competition.
But then again I think they should have sent at least one Rafale just for the aviation enthusiasts overthere. After all it’s an air show, not just a competition 🙁

No Rafale on aero india ?
