Can you point out where did i said that i got classified information? dont try to use that kind of strawman argument with me! it only shows that you are too desperately want to win the argument but cannot come up with anything reasonable and logical.

I was merely pointing out that you have no more classified information than Chuck Yeager has, provided he has got access to absolutely none since he retired. Which leads me to believe that you think you are smarter than him & more fit to decide which traits a fighter should have.

Given the age of him, most of his friends in the military already retired or death. And to be honest, there is absolutely no reason for a military contractors to share classified information with an old retired test pilot ( if it is the kind of information that can get them fired or face prison time) , like what the heck would they gain by doing that? asking for advice? Yeager is just a test pilot

So what classified information do you have that Chuck Yeager doesn’t? If anything compared to program insiders, he doesn’t earn money off it which makes him less biased. And God forbid he made friends with younger dudes that he trained or commanded, or any other way. This guy is a legend after all.

Unfortunately for you, that simply does not hold water. Until recently, the pilots who were speaking about the F-35’s capabilities were Norwegian, and Dutch.

Considering the controversies of the purchases of those planes in both countries, you’d think they would risk their carrier just the same.

Actually, I’m old fart who served his country and is currently gainfully employed as a programmer in the Healthcare industry.

I wasn’t suggesting that you were of the type I alluded to, and I’m sorry if I came through that way. I was merely stating that I’d trust an old man who actually has a lifetime of experience, including in combat & other quite dangerous forms of flight, than a younger one, or any other form who never saw combat.

With all due respect to Gen Yeager, the last time he had anything to do with combat, he was flying with big spiny thing in front, had to get the enemy within 1 mile & EXACTLY in front of him, and only had his Mk1 Eyeballs for Situational Awareness… Someone call the the Home, one got loose.
