They were all under the Russian yoke in recent decades and prior to that in some cases centuries. At the first opportunity, presumably to gain some security and freedom from Russian “benevolence,” they joined a military alliance originally designed to thwart Russian ambitions.
That should tell anybody capable of thought what those countries think of Russian ambitions. Russia is not threatened, Russia is paranoid.

So what to do with the elections prior to the coup in the Ukraine? Seems like the pro-russians had won that one, and the west needed to foment a military coup to restore power to the pro-western side.

No. The Russian Federation could have been lent some money. World Bank, IMF etc could have provided funds. Lots of countries receive loans from these institutions without becoming client states of the USA. Yes, there are strings: the government wanting a loan needs to demonstrate that it plans to run its economy in a way that will enable it to repay the loan.

The only reason for this crap is mass immigration. When I first heard of the attacks in Paris I couldn’t contain my laughter, because an hour or so before I had been watching a TV documentary on WWI where they were telling us what kind of powder-keg the Balkans were because of the mix of religions/cultures.

It’s just as funny as when you watch Rambo III again, and hear the speech of the colonel Trautman after the US invasion.

An inspector is a rank to achieve via promotion rather than a defining job title.

I don’t know exactly the job titles in the UK, but my aunt & my uncle told me that he was supposed to begin at a pretty high level right after his training. Not just your average street cop (not that there’s anything wrong with them).
