Got a link to the source? There’s nothing recent in the Defence section of the site about the F-22 nor the Rafale.

BTW it appears Jon Lake has been caught with his pants down once again when he wrote in arabian aerospace that the F22 flew with external tanks. I can’t see any external tanks in the video, but then again it may be my eyesight.

I’m confused… was this the Rafale’s only loss to F22, or was this one of the draws? :highly_amused:

ASMP-A fills a completely different role than the sub deterrence.

Sub deterrence is here to promise mutual anihilation, while ASMP-A permits some degree of escalation with its tactical nuke capability.

To a potential threat, it means you can still nuke him and not start WWIII, which makes him think twice before pissing in your corn flakes.

Hard days for the French Air Force. Their government and population will continue to expect them to answer the call when needed

The population has absolutely no say in anything. The puppet government will surely need them to bomb some pour souls overseas though.

But I see it as yet another case of neutering our army in order to force us into a european army & remove yet another piece of our sovereignty.

Afaik jackjack is australian. But i could have missed smthing. Back to topic : according to “Bild”, Saudi Arabia to deliver Mistral missiles to rebels (however you call them)

Well for once the word terrorist is the proper one, so we might as well use it 😀

Sybolism is irrelevant. No-one cares about symbolism in the real world.

    Nothing could be more wrong.

Yes, the anti-American and/or anti-Western thing is amusing in a sad sort of way. Certainly the West isn’t perfect, as anyone in the West will tell you… but compared to Russia/China/Iran/etc… forget it. There is no comparison.

I live in the soviet republic of France and I beg to differ.

So according to what you wrote, maybe the ONU or the NATO should estabilish a no fly zone over France, since there the basic rights are denied to a large part of the population, which is victim of extensive crimes pursued by the government. :dev2:

Well I’m not for being bombed to ashes by NATO. External intervention is the last thing I would want for my (any) country, especially since it’s exactly what brought us where we are now.

An F-16 was airborne for 13.5 hours during the Libyan campaign. Details at the link. Not all aircraft can do this sort of thing as many will run out of lubrication.

Do you know how many air refueling it took?

Just a thought here but gas masks could be to do with the fact they don’t want to get gassed… Not too unlikely is it?

There are not too many risks of being gassed in a photo shoot. I’m just sayin’.

Just for the benefit of those who aren’t aware, what model of assault rifle do the “rebel side” generally use? They don’t look like a western design to me…

Steyr AUG is western enough for you?

Call me a lunatic, but I think gas masks may have more to do hiding the faces of western type special forces/private security (mercenary) companies, rather than actually protecting them from hypothetical gas attacks.

Can you please share any proof of persecutions toward French people put in place by French government or there is no way to assess such a claim about a supposedly extensive crime pursued against what it seems could be a large part of French population?

Well if you want an extensive crime prusued against the french population, look no further than the gay marriage & the gender theory being taught to children in school. I’m not even speaking of all the demonstrators who were hit, arrested and teargased, but just the evil of the gender theory in itself. That’s a crime against humanity in the making.

And of course, you expect us to sit and wait what till you hit us hard “once and for all”. And you wonder why ppl like OBL hold water in the Muslim world.
A dying civilization imploding on itself is apparently your, nay ” the world’s” greatest threat, and not anglo saxony led by the self proclaimed “sole superpower” who have for the last 3 centuries colonized, exploited and ethnically cleansed huge swaiths of this planet are of course the “good guys”. Spare this MILITARY AVIATION FORUM your godless moralizing please.

The fact that starting a war between the west & the east is the plan doesn’t mean we agree with it. It’s just what the traitors we have in power have decided to do, and we can’t do anything about it. All the people in France who are against this are persecuted (freedom of speach my ****).
