So if not 1000 Fc1 then 1000 J10? :diablo:
๐ฎ okay…. so no 150 billion $$$’s worth owlet dragons…… ๐
๐ฎ instead… 200-250 billion $$$’s worth chongdu J-10s(~25mil USD dragons..) ๐ ๐ฎ
Balanced Selling???
Is USA cooperating with Pakistan in Nuclear Tech?
Is USA cooperating with Pakistan in Space?Infinity
Infinity….
how can the United States co-operate with pakistan in Space related matters ? Pakistan needs to have a space program… right? to have co-operation in space….
and regarding co-operation in nuclear tech…. most of the Pakistani nuclear effort goes in the weapons related area…. and i doubt if anything goes in the civilian sphere, viz. nuclear power generation….
and it is certain that the U.S ain’t gonna help any country to build nuclear weapons…. ๐ฎ so co-operation with pakistan again ruled out…. ๐
Wrong. PLAAF never said it was going to replace every lower then 3’rd gen fighterjet with j10. Let alone think about higher costs and less diversity. And they pumped atleast 150 million usd in the project to let you tell that it is not going to be bought? Please do provide me more info how you come to these conclusions mr Srbin.
RIGHT.
and now they are gonna pump in atleast 150 BILLION $$$’s to buy 1000 OWLET DRAGONS…. ๐
also the AA-11 weights 100kg and the Su-30 can carry a max ordenance load of 8000kg under you logic the Su-30 should carry eighty AA-11 or or thirty two AA-10 Alamo since the Alamo weights 250kg in it`s lightest version why it does not carry so many missiles, well the hardpoints are designed to carry a certain number of weapons and a limited number of each type of weapon or fuel tank and avoid the less of drag that also affects speed and range have you ever seen a fighter decorated as a X`mas tree? the same applies to this J-8II that can carry 4000kg of ordanance, it`s air to air missiles as relativeli feathers but only carry few of them
๐
using the figures in crobato’s post, it seems the FC-1 can carry ~21 SD-10s ๐ฎ
who needs Sukhois ???? ๐ ๐
That has indeed been my idea, yet, still there are many reports on SSBN type of vessel and of course about the testing of some kind of nuke from an Indian ship (I think it was a Dhanush or something like that). It was from a surface ship,and it was short-ranged in my opinion. Yet, they keep saying stuff like that…
here it is……

๐
There are still humans. But its no suprise that you cant kill small groups in mountains with daisy cutter and helfire. And there are still the warlords, not on the site of the Taliban, USA, ISAF or Karsai, they are only on there own site.But many people in afgahnistan have vote and two citys are unter the Controll of the ISAF. Better as the many years before
just wait until the U.S leaves afghanistan…..
hordes and hordes of Al-Qaeda terrorists will return to afghanistan from pakistan which they consider as a safe sanctuary…..
In a word, yes.
Carpet-bombing doesn’t usually work all that well in mountainous regions.
they survived the Bunker busters, daisy cutters, PREDATOR fired hellfires ?? ๐
and most of all, they survived the wrath of the AMERICAN nation ?? ๐ฎ
MAN, what are these people made of ??? ๐ฎ
I wonder how well the Taliban did, considering their support of womans rights and education, tolerance of homosexuals, Jews, free speech, non-Islamic religions, literature, music, kite flying, etc., not to mention the effort they made to promote justice, healthcare, land reform and urban renewal? ๐
Sauron
๐ the talibs did survive the carpet bombing ?? ๐ ๐ฎ
lol..guess who had so many loosses despite everything money could buy..Pak retreated under internation pressure, not the IA who went shopping for bullets and caskets in the middle of a battle I heard lol. and let us be clear who lost more planes in Kargil, Pak or India??? ๐
ha…. you are talking as if the super fighters of the PAF came in and downed the indian planes…… :rolleyes:
and also when you talk of the number of planes that the IAF lost in kargil war…. why do you conviniently forget that it was the IAF who was bombing the crap out of pakistani soldiers……
where was the mighty PAF then… why did it not come to your own soldiers rescue ?? ๐ and yes…. PAf has superior fighters/pilots/tactics/what not ….. :rolleyes:
I dont think anyone is getting their “panties in a tingle”, its good the aircraft is repariable, but IAF needs to look at the underlying reason why 2 Mirage 2000s suffered undercarriage faults within the space of a few weeks….
i was walkin down the road…. i fell down…. i stood up… ๐ฎ
i started walking again….. again i fell down…. ๐
But hey…. since it happened twice…. there seems to be an underlying problem in the bones of my legs…. ๐ฎ operatinal malfunction ! ๐ฎ
~~~~~~~
Man… i just can’t understand your reasoning…. it seems that you have never heard of co-incidences…. and also, it is acknowledged the worldover….
sometimes, $hit happens period
i guess we all should wait for the IAF to conduct an enquiry, declare what went wrong, and only then some solid conclusions can be derived….
The brand new Jaguars
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Ambala, October 5: JAGUARS, Indiaโs premier strike aircraft, have got a fresh lease of life and become more lethal in their silver jubilee year of induction in the Air Force, following an indigenous upgrade programme.
The twin-engine deep penetration strike aircraft, inducted in the Air Force on July 27, 1979, has undergone an overhaul of its critical components to enhance its strike capability and make possible navigation at low altitude.
โโThe upgrade has made the aircraft more lethal and increased its life by over 15 years,โโ said Group Captain Sandeep Suri, the Chief Operations Officer of the Ambala Air Force Station. โโFlying the old jaguars and the upgraded ones is an altogether different experience. Itโs like driving an old ambassador and any modern car,โโ Air Officer Commanding Air Commodore L K Malhotra said.
Ambala Air Force Station, the oldest airbase in the country, is home to Jaguars and the Mig-21 Bison Squadrons. The 3 Squadron, based here, was the first to induct the Bisons, an upgraded variant of the Mig 21, in January 2002.
The airbase also had the honour to induct the first Jaguars in 1979, adding a new dimension to air operations in the sub-continent. With the induction of the Anglo-French aircraft, the Air Force acquired the capability to strike at will in all kinds of weather by day and by night.
HAL reduces Dhruv copter vibration, readies it for mission ‘impossible’
Wednesday October 6 2004 15:09 ISTBANGALORE: While the Army has embarked on high-altitude field trials of Bell, Kamov-50 and Eurocopter helicopters, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) claims its Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv is still the best for such missions.
The defence PSU, headquartered in the city, is making further improvements in its flying machine. “The Active Vibration Isolation System is being fitted to ALHs to further reduce its vibration,” sources told this websiteโs newspaper denying reports that the Army was not looking at HAL after its copter failed a high-altitude vibration test.
The equipment being mounted is similar to a noise controlling device recently fitted in two choppers sold to Nepal. “We are recommending it for all ALHs and that will be done depending on customer requirement,” the sources added.
Vibration at high altitudes was the primary reason for the Army to look towards the West rather than go in for the indigenously designed and developed chopper. However, experts said a little vibration may be there in an ALH at low altitudes, though at high altitudes the vibration comes down.
Dhruv has been purchased by the IAF and Army, and it has proven its performance on all fronts, including at high altitudes. But foreign choppers are yet to prove their capability, HAL said. Apart from being an indigenous product, it is the most competent machine in terms of cost.
“If there are any teething problems, the Services should give feedback, based on which it can be further improved,” said the sources. HAL is aggressively trying to market its product, both within and outside the country. Of the 31 ALHs manufactured so far, two have been sold to Nepal and one is waiting to fly to Israel. In India, the IAF, Army, Navy and Coast Guard are flying these machines.
Another major boost is coming in the form of a huge foreign order. Chile has evinced keen interest in buying around two dozen Dhruvs over a period of time after seeing a recent demonstration of its capabilities. Pilots there clocked over 100 hours that included flying in hostile weather.
Guys
Can we give ita frickin rest!?
Can we get back to the topic? If you guys are so obsessed with this journo guy can you just PM each other!? I dont think man hy people care about this clown, or your thoughts on him….
just because he wrote an article stating the truth and pointing out the obvious, makes him a “clown” ?? :confused:
i guess the person should be accorded more respect…
Here is his last posting on his site:
know I said I would stop posting to the blog, but I want one last word. Somehow to my more recent visitors I have become a symbol of the independent voice being stamped out by the corporate media. Ironically, I get many more visitors now that Iโm shut down because of references all over the net to my โsilencing.โ A journalist never likes to become the story himself, and I feel that Iโm being used against my will as an example of the nasty American media monolith. Iโm happy to be an American and Iโm happy to work for the mass media. And I was happy to have this blog, and I would be happy if a lot of people read it and enjoyed it for what it is rather than as a symbol of something bad. Thanks. Peace.
