Dave, I think the Camel is at the IWM in Lambeth. Certainly not at the Science Museum. And, yes you can be there for hours when you start exploring the other halls.
I think what impressed me was the rarity of the exhibits. The Spit and Hurri are both Battle of Britain aircraft, the Vimy is the original that flew the Atlantic, Amy Johnson’s biplane which she flew solo England-Australia etc.etc.
Until JDK reminded me at Shuttleworth recently, I’d forgotten how important this collection is.
