We have been doin a few MOD flights out of BZZ for a while, the internal timetable shows we have flights in and out of there until March..
the 188P was a positioning flight in from LBA, then the next day it usually departs for NHD (Minhad Military Airport, UAE) close to Dubai..
Until March!!!! 😮 Ahhh does that mean Jet2 stop flying for the Mod after then?? If i have to fly RAF when i come home in May i will actually burst into tears. I’d rather walk back to the UK than fly RAF
I must admit though i was shocked to see a Jet2 757 at BZZ for my flight to Minhad and top marks it was a superb flight. 🙂
I know, its not an ex RN airframe so no, I still want the names and addresses of the Duxford folk who (it is rumoured) turned one down:mad: 😡 😡
Turned down an F-14? 😮 thats sacrilege if said rumour is true. Suppose an F-14 goes with the naval theme we’ve got going on down here in Yeovs, I for one would love one of them down here.
Isn’t that an Army Lynx as your avatar? 😉
 hehehe, no such thing now, Joint Helicopter Command (JHC) owns all the lynx mk7 and mk9 airframes to my knowledge. But the lynx in question is flown by 847 NAS with Royal Marines written down the tail. No Army that you speak of present :p 😀
Thats a tricky shout.
I’d still have to go with the FAAM, though never been to the helicopter museum myself, so prob not the best opinion I’m afraid.
You can find a nice B&B in Sparkford village (just before yeovilton), my folks always stay there when they come down to visit.
BSG, the Senior Service won’t disappoint  The Fleet Air Arm, Her Majesties finest 😉
Backlash inbound…..
Awesome piccies mate. Something you don’t see everyday. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Both facinating museums from my experience, love the BoB experience at Hendon, however, the FAAM gets my vote but then I would say that wouldn’t I :p hehe 😀
Brilliant news. A fantastic effort from all those involved.
Chris
What a brilliant sight that will be.
I go on xmas leave that day and will be drivng past Boscombe up the A303, here’s to hoping i’ll see her flying.
Truly magnificent aircraft.
Nice one pal. Looking good! 🙂
Hi,
The Lanc did a display at Smallfield today that I imagine would of flown by Lingfield coming from Biggin Hill I guess. Just checked on the BBMF website seems to back things up.
I too saw it whilst I was over Crawley in the distance. Lovely sight that never grows old.
Helicopter!!! 🙂 lovely stuff. Brilliant pictures there.
Fantastic pictures there! Makes me wish i had popped down there especially after seeing those 747 shots. 🙂
Lovely pictures there. The Tricolori shots are superb
