Hi chaps, sorry to dig up a slightly old thread, just wondering how everyone has got on with their driving?? It has been a while since people last posted.

I was very fortunate to pass first time last wednesday 🙂 , 11 minors (so that was slightly crap) pretty much all observation faults though 😮

I was very nervous as I took my test in “creepy” Crawley, as it has something like the 3rd highest fail rate in the country 😮 That was not something nice to think about as you drive out the test centre. 😉

    Cheers

    Jules Horowitz,
I have read all your posts with pure amazement and absolute gratitude, you are an incredible man. Your stories I read with huge pleasure but at the same time, not forgetting the people that did loose their lives for our freedom we have today.

I am joining the UK armed forces in order to serve my country and its people like yourself and other war veterens who I have the up most respect for, which give me intense desire to succeed.

    Best Wishes

At the moment i’m on my Royal Navy pre-joining fitness programme. I go to the gym 4 times a week, as well as swimming, running, press ups and sit ups. I’m finding it just fine, but times running out 😮 😉

By the way Anna, 45 minutes on the rowing machine, thats pretty impressive. My ass hurts after 30 mins 😉 Now theres a nice thought 😀 😉

I too watched Fleet Air Arm/Navy Pilots and thought it was well done. IMO it wandered off topic slightly in places, e.g. in the Commando Sea King episode but besides that I enjoyed it very much. I saw 4 episodes, Sea Harrier, Commando Sea Kings, Lynx (HMS Southampton) and Lynx (702 sqn training and Black cats display team)

I must say its not often you see programs about the FAA or RAF for that matter, normally its American stuff (not that I have a problem with that of course 😉 )

With regards to the name, like SteveO has mentioned its actually called “Fleet Air Arm”, but on the programme synapse on Sky televison they call it “Navy Pilots” or “Navy Pilots:Fleet Air Arm”

Am I correct on saying that one episode is back on Discovery Wings on Monday at 1900, 2200 and 0100 (repeats obviously)?

Great shots guys, it was an interesting display, I liked the chinook, Guy wesgate in the glider, Lynx and the Eurofighter (first time I had seen it do a display). Was a great weekend even if I did get a little burnt 😉
I too saw the aerostars on the saturday but not on the sunday

You have to pay 50p to watch it, a very small price considering it goes to charity. Its worth it honest 😉 😎
