If England don’t have a navy they can’t fight off the hoards attacking from their western coast. Eire will have a better navy finally and thus they will finally be in a position to win the battle…. YAY, Up the Republic!
LOL……please don’t I have enough trouble sleeping at night as it is, after the RAF defence cuts were announced 😉 ….Denmark has more people in its Air force 😮 No offence to any Danish out there. 😉
Back on topic, I understand the MoD won’t make a decision until 2010 on the future of invincible?? and until then it will stay in portsmouth in an extended state of readiness?? is this correct.. thanks

WOW…..Superb shots 🙂
There goes my faith in the ADF. Not so much the people in it but in the politicians who don’t listen to what the people who use these toys have to say. If New Zealand had an airforce i’d move there tomorrow, at least they will have a decent navy.
LOL 😀 I’ve heard jokes that they have been fearing invasion ever since they lost their airforce :diablo:
Probably explains why a Kiwi has recently moved in next door, no joke. And I thought he was just here to brag about NZ tanking us in the rugby 😮
I think they were looking at keeping this one as a museum simply because of it’s links with the Falklands war.
I really hope so, will be sad to see her being handed over to another Navy or likewise being scrapped.
However, if invincible was to be kept as a museum I would like to think she would be looked after just as if she was still in service.
207 seconds and 1 kill………Not exactly winning any medals 😉 but getting there, the practice is starting to pay off 😀
Respectively, yes. As your a Spurs fan, No.
Spurs fan…… 😮 do my eyes decieve me, so its not just my mum and sister, there are more out there 😉

the forgotten soldier by Guy Sager, the true story of a child of French/German parentage who was conscripted into the German army and sent to the Russian front, am about to finish this book and its well worth the read. also, i desserted Rommel by Gunther Behneman (sp?) shows why dessertion during wartime isn’t a cowards way out.
Greg
I can vouch for Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer also, I finished it a few months back, a great read. Nice to get an accurate account of the german side of the war on the Russian front.
Eye of the Storm by Peter Ratcliffe, an ex-SAS soldier. A serious account of his service plus alot of funny aspects of his career. In my oppinion I think it is one of the only truly believable SAS books about.
