Crikey, i’ve got my work cut out, I better get practicing 😉
We get birdstrikes every so often on the nimrods, they do create large dents if they hit the wings and since it is usually seabirds that are hit the remains have a rather nasty fishy smell. It is good to laugh at the engine guys when they have to go pull the cooked carcass from the jetpipes.
Nice……lol
Just a question, you say engine guys, does the RAF still have engineers for airframes, engines and avionics….keeping the trades seperate??
The Fleet air arm incorporates all 3 trades together so the engineers do everything or are dual trade I think the term is.
I suppose the RAF and R. Navy have far different working practices.
Thanks for posting the actual video Kovy
Thanks for the info guys 🙁 How unfortunate 🙁
I normally watch BBC South East for local news, however didnt see it, I must of missed it.
Thanks again guys 🙁
YAY Nice game and its FREE 😀
I got 120 seconds on my 4th try, I won’t talk about the first 3 attempts….Bloody Flak.. 😉
😀 😀 😀 Hahahahaha
😀 😀 😀 Hahahahaha
Another crash today!!
A 25 year old pilot of a light aircraft was killed today, the accident happened in West Sussex the plane is being taken to Farnborough for further investigation 🙁 Anna
Crikey West Sussex, thats abit close to home 😮 🙁
Ain’t heard anything about it, local news coverage in Sussex is poor 🙁
Normally the only aircraft we get in West Sussex are the ones going to Gatwick.
Briliant!! 🙂 This is very good news. Full credit to everyone involved. I thought it was just a rescue sub on an exercise.
Excellant to see the British navy (royal navy) was able to get there in time and play an important role in saving lives.
According to the site they initiated ejection too late, however the student made it out safe and the instructor was seriously injured as his canopy didn’t have enough time to fully deploy
Crikey, how unfortunate and all because of a bird. 🙁
I saw this a few days ago on the same site. What actually happened at the end did the pilots crash land or eject??? It looks as if they crash land but at a nasty angle to the ground
Facinating article Hammer, thanks for sharing 🙂
Yeah the translation was not bad, abit dodgy in some areas, but hey no ones perfect 😀
The pictures are great, liking the Sea king alot. Seeing a drone launcher on a ship is a first for me, I have no doubt it is widely used.
A superb aircraft that went beyond its expectations, especially in the Falklands. A great aircraft that will be sorely missed 🙁
Some pictures, from the Royal Navy website and defence images database.
They are great, found the page a couple of weeks back, its a great insight into the Royal Navy. 🙂
Great photos Paul F, yeah shame about the weather. 🙁
Can anyone tell me which aircrafts are these?
Also i love the layout for the single strip airbase.
RAF Coltishall, that’ll be Jaguars, (home of the Jaguar) 6 Sqn and 41(F) Sqn.
