In the last one, it looks as if he’s on the phone to his insurance company
The wise thing to do in such a situation is to phone your better half. Don’t start with ‘I’ve just crashed’ but talk about some irrelevant subject and make sure she remembers the time…
I’ve got half of the pictures visible, several where only the top part is showing and I have to click on that to get to the Facebook page to see the full picture, and a few where there is just a blank box with a message about privacy settings.
As with ‘788: work in progress…. 😉

It might be there to provide suction to draw ducted hot air from the oil/air radiators to keep the camera’s at working temperature and free of ice and condensation, possibly simpler than pushing the air.

Looking at where the Venturi is mounted, it makes sense that it is related to whatever’s in that corner of the airframe. If it had anything to do with the instruments, I would expect the Venturi to be mounted further forward.
We might as well continue the Sea Fury roundup. Here’s the Dutch FB Mk.51 in its new location in the NMM at Soesterberg.

P-38 silhouette on drop tank – from Operation Bolero?
It’s indeed a P-38 and P-51 silhouette from Operation Bolero on the outside of each tank. And it looks as if they’ve added ‘Operation Berlin Express’ to the insides!
Exhaust gases are hot. That is normal for any piston engine.
Great photos, thanks for sharing! Number 5 isn’t showing up though…
Things will get real quiet here now while memory cards are filled and downloaded… 😀
Looking forward to the photos, wish I could be at Duxford this weekend!
Overhead Duxford on FR24. Looks like the end of a long journey has been reached!
The King Air is just north of Nottingham right now. Look for ‘B350’.
Agree, but over the Atlantic the Spot tracking system was the only one showing their progress as they were outside FR24 coverage. Current estimate for Duxford is 10:40am.
Edit: 11:06am, slowed by weather.
Thanks for the info about the engine John!
Looking forward to some great photos from Duxford. I’ve got FR24 running to keep track of Berlin Express on the final leg.
Edit: It’s most likely still Lee Lauderback flying Berlin Express, not Ed Shipley.
According to Ed Shipley she getting ready to take off from Wick right now. So I’d say, in a couple of hours.
Edit: They are expecting a flight time of 1.5 hours, I hope our faithful team of Duxford snappers will be up early today!
Another edit: take off is delayed due to an inbound flight with an emergency.
Last one: Beech King Air has just taken off (8.35am), showing on FR24. Looking forward to some great photos from Duxford!
Probably out of range of an ADS-B receiver. They are flying quite a bit lower than the commercials on those routes. This still works: http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0ttKhHZqYqIxTnMDDMCeL3GSYEqrNuj4Y
Edit: it’s back on FR24 as well I see. Heading straight for Wick just west of Hoy.
Getting ready now to take off from Keflavik.
