Thirded…. if that’s an actual word… 😉
Try the link at the bottom of the post. The first one has a comma while there should be a dot.
Interesting question, but then you also need to ask: could the various factories around the UK have produced a similar number of airliners at a comparable production rate to those being built at the Boeing and Douglas factories?
I don’t think that’s Germany Daz….
Charles Lindbergh flew non-stop between New York and Paris, thus winning the Orteig prize.
Please consider that even though things don’t seem to be broken at first sight, running outdated forum software can put all of our account details at risk. So it is good to see that the admins regularly update the forum software, even though that can cause other issues to pop up. Hopefully these will be resolved soon.
Here’s the same airframe at the old Aviodome museum at Schiphol Airport. I took this photo in 1991.

Thanks Tony! I’ve shared this same photo on my site’s Facebook page a day after the event: https://www.facebook.com/VC10derness It’s a great shot.
It certainly does! I wish I could get that sharpness out of my (admittedly much cheaper) lens 🙂
[USER=”77992″]Old Towzer[/USER] If you click on one of the images and look at the page on Flickr, the camera and lens details, including some settings, are shown below the photo. It would appear to be a Canon EOS-1D X with a 500mm lens.
That’s certainly an interesting holiday destination! Thank you for sharing those photos Mark12, much appreciated.
The security certificate issue is due to people linking to the (old) .co.uk site. If you have stored links, bookmarks, favourites with that variant, please update them to the .com version and all will be well.
Whenever a forum is updated to a new version with a change in format, invariably several people will speak up and complain about it. I’ve seen this on several forums and usually it dies down eventually as people become accustomed to the new layout. I guess it’s similar to your favourite pub redecorating inside. After a while you get used to it and realise that it’s still the same beers that are on tap.
Key hosts this forum at their expense, and I realise that going through an upgrade to a new version of the forum software, including the customisation to have it fit within the main Key sites and have the various links above and beneath the main forum page is most likely an expensive undertaking. So from me: Thank you!
I’ve found that my avatar had disappeared from my posts. Reuploading the same image to the relevant page in my profile sorted this issue.
Another thing I noted: not all the smilies are available in the editor. A lot of them show as BBcode only without an image. I haven’t checked if they do appear correctly in a post.
Unfortunately, due to Kermit Weeks having owned both V9312 and V9545 (the one he still owns), there are a lot of photos on the web of V9545 that are incorrectly labeled as being V9312.
My apologies, when I tried to post my previous message (#17) the board showed a database error but I only just noticed that it did end up online. I thought it had disappeared in cyberspace. I had not read the two messages by JohnTerrell and David Burke at that point.
Thanks for clearing up the confusion between the two Lysanders everyone!
As for credits on photos, I do that with all my photos these days, only to find them reposted on Facebook with the line removed only days later. And I don’t want to plaster my name all over an image, so it’s a race I cannot win. Oh well…
