We flew Hurricanes, so I think that one will definatly stay.
yeah, I totally agree with focusing on Belgian aircraft, but keep the Belgian civil collection! Would be an enormous shame to loose that part. Loose the MIG, F-4,…. stuff and make room for a nice Belgian aviation museum. It’s a waste that those aircraft are displayed, when nice Belgian stuff remains in storage.
No idea about a date, but I think Januari will be safe to go.
I’m waiting for the Vormezeele collection Dora to be finished 😀
The flight is now offically ‘of the market’ and Mike Collett appears to be looking to expand the collection. The most recent acquistion is that of Meteor T7 ‘WA591’ from the Meteor Flight at Yatesbury.
Wasn’t this the meteor the meteorflight was restoring to flight for themselves? Where does this leave them? Will the flight at Yatesbury seize to exist?
Fouga – the Gannet AEW.3 G-BLYP flew on the circuit in the mid eighties – it’a a sad fact that anything that is unusual doesn’t necessarily get bookings.
The former Amjet Gannet T.5 is still stranded between here and the U.S.
Sad to hear 🙁 Home the T.5 gets airborne again soon. It looks great from the pictures I saw. Is it waiting for a new engine? I’d rather see an unusual type like a Gannet then the 10.000th spitfire at an airshow. guess I’m funny that way 🙂
what about the Fairey Gannet?
Would love to see an airworthy Gannet! Now THAT would be a crowdpleaser 🙂
Fouga, RAF Coltishall closed on 30th November! The Colt-based cockpit collection moved to Norwich some weeks ago.
Thx for the info Damien! Sad to hear another station closed 🙁
Phantom appears to be ex-coltishall.

How come it isn’t there anymore? Did the Coltishall collection close?
That’s one big dong! 😮 😀
great link! I am folloing it daily 🙂

yeah, I heard most of their collection is for sale 🙁
Again I would be tarred and feathered if I let slip our plans, which are undoubtedly interesting… another tantalising watch this space I’m afraid!
You don’t say much, do you :p 😀
I think this is a great recovery! A lot of the aircraft is still there and it is in very good condition for a salt water recovery. Looking forward to seeing it restored.
