not the first time, there was an RF-4E crash this year too, and a few crashes last year and they were all announced.
besides, some sources say Iran has a much bigger number of operational Tomcats than you might think.
well Flex, I’ll have to add my voice to yours, if anyone knows where to find this please tell me.
mean while it should be worth asking on ACIG.org as SOOOO many Iranians hang over there.
I’ll also try asking some of the hundreds of thousands of Iranians tourists who visit syria every year, but I guess that is a very depressing and long way isn’t it?.
So Kfadrat, my old friend, you would criticise the whole of the US and UK for the actions of a few unsavoury characters in Abu Graib prison, but, think its vastly unfair if Sauron judges the whole Islamic faith on the behaviour of a worryingly-widespread, barbaric schism of Islam.
Smacks of double standards there perhaps?
NOPE, you got me wrong old friend, what I’m trying to say is that it is WRONG to generalize a certain feature on one nation if a few b@stards of that nation are infected with it.
I want Sauron to – finally – understand that each nation has it’s scum, INCLUDING Uncle Sam’s, he must wake up to the sad truth.
I don’t understand what this Sauron figure is talking about!!! tell me dude … wheren’t you dancing the day all the attrocities in Abu Gareeb and guantanamo were uncovered??? say the truth once in your damned life, FYI SH|t happens, admit it, being an extreemist yourself all what you see is extreemism in everybody else, so if a few moslems out of 1500 million moslems committed a crime all moslems are killers and a crusade should be declared, right? well tell you something, your logic IS EXACTELLY THE SAME logic of Al Qaeda idiots … actually you’d make a very good one indeed, because they want all Americans dead for the crimes of a single Bush and Dumsfield … go figure it out.
I would REALLY love to see what the picture Frank posted was, can you e-mail me it Frank?
I wanted to post a few more Phantom wreck pics I got recently from farious sources but thought not to harras the kids on such a lovely occassion.
I keep hearing people asking about Al Jazeera not being there, there was NO Al Jazeera at the time.
yeah what ever, I still am trying to get my damn spelling problem fixed, it all started when Rabie left this forum and ACIG’s forum … too bad he’s not around anymore 🙁 .
forum moderation as in modernisation of it? :p .
I would like to confirm Sea Hawk’s post, I’m indeed debating as Kfadrat, the Syrian who served with an SA-6 battery NOT kfadrat the ACIGer … is it a kind of complex on some forums to always act anti ACIG when ever they don’t like what they hear?.
to be completely clear, the MiG-23 kill aganist an F-16 on June 9th is THE only offecially claimed F-16 by the Syrian Arab Air Force, at least it is the only one mentioned in offecial publications, the possibility of the other two comes from some aircraft NOT being IDed in Syrian offecial notes that I managed to find.
deepspace, tell me what you know about Russian hardware? if your damn missiles won’t work aganist a target and you know this target is VERY HARMFUL for your ground troops and you are young enough wouldn’t you have tried the same wing tipping trick? regardless of how dangerous it would sound???.
besides, are you attacking the Indian AF??? saying they are incompetent for losing a UAV to an aircraft? then the IsAF MUST be also incompetent because THEY ARE losing UAVs to aircraft you know.
does April 2001 ring any bills? it’s JUST the tip of the ice mountain.
TJ, very irrelevant indeed, even in the US the foriegn ministry isn’t briefed by the millitary you know.
don’t we all agree that the Israeli OFFECIAL version is that they lost ONLY one A-4 to an SA-7 over Qalat Shoqayf?
it speaks volumes about Israeli accuracy in telling the truth when you read their offecial story.
while when you talk to Syrian pilots who flew and fought in 82, they would simply point you out to their losses, their mistakes and their effectivness, no arrogance, no lieing and no fact hiding.
now if I remeber correctly, this thread is about MiG-23s so it is good to know that on 74 they scored aganist Phantoms, in 79 aganist SkyHawks and since aganist many Fire Bees, aganist Phantoms and aganist F-16s.
even nowadays they have their ever rising toll of UAVs.
CAPS !!!! 24/24 does America do that? does israel have that? no I don’t think so.
and TJ, diplomats are no good in this field and you know that, anyway 30 seconds is a time I DARE THE USAF TO RESPOND TO.
also the dude who asked aboput Syrian radars should actually get a map and see how high the Anti Lebanon series is, Radars inside Syria can’t see what’s behind it no matter how long you keep them on, I’m ex-AD remeber.
add to that the FACT that Israeli aircraft ALWAYS intrude inside Lebanese airspace for the show off … who would actually expect the cowards to launch an attack some day?
unwritten rules deny Syrian crews the possibility of engaging these incrusions unless they do certain things which these raiders were NOT actually doing. do you want me to count the number of time the battery I was with locked Israeli aircraft on because of certain behavior? this time they came from behind the mountain – so no time to get the order and lock – and dissapeared like hell.
now if anyone here would please ask the residents of Beruit about what they saw the NEXT DAY I’ll be so apreciative …
and for your information I thought when talking about an Israeli newspaper that you were talking about the BS regarding over flying the presidential palace in Lattakia and the President being there.
he was in Damascus recieving Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at the same moment the Israelis CLAIM to have done this and I don’t know how he could see aircraft over his palace in Lattakia while being in Damascus, can you explain that wise guy?
and they say they delivered a message, yeah right, a message of being good liers that is … or should I say stupid liers?.
BTW, for your information the direct distance between Damascus and the Lebanese borders is less that 30km, tell me how much time a plane dropping a popeye or even an LGB from a top speed and a good enough hight would have to spend inside Syrian airspace if the weapon was launched inside Lebanon at a target already well within it’s range.
sheeesh, do you even know aviation?
both of you ARE wrong, I did get each and every single detail about the foolish raid, it was discussed to such a leghnth on ACIG that anyone using it to state the IsAF is a powerful one is making an idiot out of himself, believe it or not, EVEN if the Israeli F-16s enetered the Syrian airspace during that raid – which is NOT confirmed at all and disbutable to say the least – they were there for some 30 seconds or so, and they poped up from behind the mountains, I would like to see what the USAF or even your preciouse IsAF could be capable of doing in such a case … hh such a looser aren’t you sharmsomthing
Now Kdrafat don’t ou run away from a debate, noone is drunk here, you are talking about data that SOC, Steve etc have confirmed, i want to see that data, not your Syrian airforce propaganda, you know I would believe you if I hadn’t heard the newsd of israeli jets flying around Damascus last year, geez, come on man, how easy can it be, even the Americans used stealth acs and cruise missiles at baghdad first last year, that is simple fact, so stop insulting others and bring up the data, its as easy as that.
which is an UPROVEN claim by an Israeli NEWSPAPER … however some how you – as a serious aviation researcher – chose to believe a newspaper report.
besdies, I WISH the SyAAF had a propaganda department, the damn thing doesn’t even exsist, they believe that it doesn’t matter if the others thought well about us, what’s important is that we feel good about ourselves which is damn BS IMHO .
