Just looked on the CX website and put in for a MAN-HKG departing on Thursday 6th April. The options were splendiforus: shuttle to LHR and non-stop ex LHR! No sign of a MAN-SVO-HKG routing.
Now what would be interesting would be if BA decided to codeshare the service…
Bit of mist/fog tonight at MAN. RVRs jumping all over the place (as at 2036 and a few seconds it’s >1500m all the way). Saw the mist forming whilst in work near the dead centre of Manchester
1st BY Rovaniemi service I’ve seen was today’s BY835B which was operated by G-BYAK.
DP2607 on 29/10 = G-OOBH
Don’t know what DP2606 was on 22/10.
Therein lies another problem with ACARSD – sometimes you’ll need to know the callsign that was used in addition to or instead of the flgiht number! DP2606/2607 = FCA883C/883D.
If you wanted to know which Thomsonfly B757 operated a LGW-TFS flight on a particular date; the acars search function will give you this info.
Not seen too many BY 757s in ACARS listings – seen 767s though. However, it’s not just locos + regionals that might not have ACARS, aircraft within the same fleet do not e.g. todays FCA267D to MAN was operated by G-OOBF (as confirmed on a couple of ops frequencies and on that site) but have not tied up FCA725D though.

Delta and US??? I suspect Delta more or perhaps Delta and Jet2
Forgotten that DL is to send 764s on JFK-MAN next year? If it is to be an American airline, it will be CO – as to affecting their MAN ops…it may cause a bit of a drop but I doubt that CO is seeing as much as half it’s MAN operation being “bankrolled” by Yorkshire.
Snow and Manchester are words not generally connected in the same sentence (though for some unknown reason, another form of precipitation is?); the last time I can remember some really serious snow was back in 1981 when it was feet deep; however, all it takes is 3 to 6 inches covering runways to cause a bit of havoc at any British airport!
Those people who seem to think someone else ought to have got that donated liver should remember that you do need to have a good match between the person who needs it and the actual liver. If that liver was not suitable for anyone else than George Best then I assume it would have been “died” a 2nd death.

Still not found anything on the Etihad website. However…..the route map look interesting – I suggest you hone in on the “Europe” section and see if you find any “mistakes”:
Etihad route map here
MAN might not have terminal/gate/ground handling capacity
Might be something to do with poor viz – when I left for work, it was 175m with sky obscured and RVRs around the 400m mark and ATC were giving aircraft expected approach times some 20 to 25 minutes after they made initial contact with approach.
CO has sent the BRS 757 to MAN on one occasion within the last couple of weeks.

LS232 just graced MAN’s tarmac = was doing practice CAT 3 landing here, so at least that crew may not need to divert again for a little while if they are rostered to fly in whatever aircraft they are in currently.
Having looked at the TAFs and STAFs for around the country, tonight and tomorrow could be “interesting”! The BBC forecast shows the fog south of Birmingham covering almost the entire southeast and spreading to the west to a bit past Bristol and a large chunk of both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to be fog-laden until well into the afternoon (the forecast only went up to 3pm).
Indeed, though surprise movement of the night was BRT94B (believe it to be G-EMBX) which somehow sneaked it’s way past the fog God and landed at MAN!
BA1620 = MAN-BRU so rather think it’s the outbound service from one of the earlier BA diversions.
at least a couple more divs to LBA = SDR05B (from MAN) and SDR15E (from BHX) – both City Airlines from Gothenburg. Not too sure if XLA7037 is also a div from MAN: it should be as the XLA charters in winter from here normally begin with “7”.
One for MAN= BCY140L (or AF5140) from BHX, whilst LHR grabbed the UZB211 from BHX.
