Two things:

1) see one of my colleagues sporting a shiner that was given to her by her mother.

2) coming home and seeing advertising on the buses for a forthcoming film. Nothing too untoward, you would think. But the name of it is “The Killers”, has photos of Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher sporting guns in their hands and has a tag line of “Just when you thought it was safe to enter the suburbs”. I just hope common sense says that won’t be on in Cumbrian cinemas for a while.

Finally seeing the proceeds of cashing in an investment 2 weeks after requesting it!

Now if I had my camera with me when I got back to my flat this evening, there’d have been a rival bumblebee picture to look at as one was busy doing it’s stuff on some flowers by the door!

Having a work colleague resign by text! We couldn’t raise him in the morning but it was a tad funny that just into lunchtime, he responded thus. Not that we were suggesting that he’s started another job. Means extra work for all those manning the phones in our team.
