Seeing that at least 1 airline that has got the A380 has described the B748 in similar terms I hardly think it’s flame-bait or biased. A for the delivery schedule, isn’t that a bit pertinent if MH is complaining about delays to the A380?
Except this is NOT test flying is it? It’s production number 23. If all aircaft aren’t flying then it doesn’t really matter if the FAA have said “thou shalt not fly”. Boeing themselves have stopped them flying…it’s not like the 7-late-7 is in any airline’s fleet and so would probably need to get the FAA/JAA to mandate a grounding. Obviously it must be of concern to them otherwise why not continue with the flight test programme?
Can anyone proposing they take the B748 state when the 1st B748 is going to be delivered and when there is going to be a free spot for a new airline to get secure a delivery? We’ve got to make sure that the competing aircraft can be brought into the fleet earlier than the A380. Otherwise what’s the point of them having yesterday’s aircraft with yesteday’s technology with yesterday’s certification and no chance of further expansion in capacity using that airframe?
Ta Tornado 64. I’m afraid I’ve got to say i’ve never been good with tit.s.:dev2:

What was WW done? Negotiated deals with all unions bar one moronic, stupid one so that the company survives. But buerks in that sole union (and those who support them), so it seems, are oblivious to the dangers of their cost structure being uncompetitive and so at a competitive disadvantage and unwilling to not make temporary savings which they want brought back. Perhaps we ought to remember the huge profits that have taken place under WW as well.
I for one look forward to seeing BA operate all long-haul routes come the next strike if only to see the smug faces on Unite disappear as they realised that the LHR aircraft can operate with less crew, as they themselves negotiated that for the LGW crew.

My close shave that saw my mum die. A week later was made redundant and a week after that, another family member died.

Having a work colleague inform me that their accident slipping on a staircase coming out of work resulted in her wrist being broken in 2 places. I was literally just out of reach to prevent her from falling down so heard the cracking of bones 🙁

About time too? He’s refused his bonus for a few years now. So it’s nothing to do with the ****-poor Union doing it’s utmost to ruin an airline. Mind you, it would be good to see BA collapse just so we could look at Unite explaining to it’s members (and the public!) how from having BA guaranteeing about pay levels in exchange for a reduction of a single crew member on LHR ops with no redundancies has led to 50,000 job losses.
We know what the likley response will be about those F class pax (and also with the reputedly healthy bookings for F class on EK) is that they are only feeding into a hub and so not really useful for an airline operating on a point to point basis. But if you aren’t willing to try, you will definitely get no passengers booking F out of a regional.
Two things:
1) see one of my colleagues sporting a shiner that was given to her by her mother.
2) coming home and seeing advertising on the buses for a forthcoming film. Nothing too untoward, you would think. But the name of it is “The Killers”, has photos of Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher sporting guns in their hands and has a tag line of “Just when you thought it was safe to enter the suburbs”. I just hope common sense says that won’t be on in Cumbrian cinemas for a while.
