Another vote here for our Fluffy’s Spitfire Manual- a delightful book, with some excellent photos in it, something a bit different from the usual Spit book and highly, highly recommended- can’t wait for the Lanc one to be released soon!

(Any plans for the Hurricane to get the same treatment?)

Yup, the journal continues it’s (slow) journey into the modern era!

That is quite simply staggering- perhaps the best model I have ever seen, of anything! A true tribute to the Hallybag, and better looking than the full sized one at Elvington, I reckon! :p

No offence was meant mate- I just don’t think ANY of the books are ‘definitive’, and you’ll note that I did still say yours was ‘essential’!

No, you’re right- you went with the technical stuff, DJT went with the mythos, the Leo book went with the stunning images, Tonia went with…well, do your own jokes there, and I think Mr Beech is aiming for his name to be bigger than Arthur Knowles’ by the time ‘The Bluebird Years’ gets to edition 1,362,912!!!

I believe the BBMF’s/our very own Fluffy is about one hundred and six years old, so I’m sure he’ll have an idea when he swings by. :p 😉
