Has the RuNavy started taking delivery of the KUB yet? Is will be this year correct?

I have my doubts about Israeli claims, I think some of the SAM losses were actually air to air kills. What benefit there would be in denying these kills I don’t know but it is possible.

It is pics like this that reminds one that aviation is not completely dead in Russia.

So, with the other projects such as the Su-34, MiG-35, Yak-130, Ka-52 and Mi-28 aircraft, just to name the more commonly known ones, flying in Russia and entering service or being considered for service you think Russian aviation is DEAD??? WHAT???

what if Syria started shooting into Israel similar to how Iraq did in the Gulf War

we could then laugh that the ultra strong “Iron Dome” failed to hit 40+ year old Scuds just to annoy Belethor :dev2:
Luckily most arms buyers have more educated analyses, and this will in no way affect their decisions.

Pantsir may be cutting edge, but its also short range.
Exactly, sadly there will be plenty idiots on the net who think that the destrcution of Syrian defences despite the presence of a hand full, if that, of Pantsir and Buks proves the said defences inferiority.

Just like the fact that Serbs 20+ MiG-29s failed to defeat the 2000+ NATO armada proves its uselessness

I’ve seen the same smoke coming from an RAF EF-2000 before anyone thinks this is “poor standard of Russian equipment”

How come,is Ka 60 experiencing development problems? Didn’t the Russian VVS order a decent amount of Ka 60 recently?

I think he means export wise. Ka-60 has been ordered for the Russian military yes, but it has taken no export orders as yet. Production of the AW in Russia could mean taking orders themselves, just like the Polish have done with the S-70 (Saudi S-70I is produced in Poland)

What are you basing this predictions on?

Logic…your government has no money, your air force consists of elderly barely flyable museum pieces and unless you know something I don’t this is not going to change anytime soon

Just because one mad man had passed away, that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be replaced by another. Just ask the Libyans, Egyptians and North Koreans.

And of course the whole scenario is fantasy…just like the whole “Argentine J-20 vs Typhoon” debate

Brazil has the World Cup and then the Olympics either side of the 2015 date, they would not get involved in a war when the world is watching. The US would relish the chance to have a little Venezuelan target practise and I think you will find the US navy would know exactly where any Venezuelan submarines were operating.

This is a “what if” scenario. America would not get involved in what it sees as an old dispute between nations, it didn’t get involved before and it won’t get involved in the future. (Yes, I know all about the US E-2’s acting as AWACS for British Harriers but that is hardly getting involved).

As for the World Cup/Olympic thing…I’ll edit it to 2016, that better? 😀

The Type 45 Destroyer HMS Dragon is patrolling the area, the SSN HMS Astute is paying a goodwill visit to Chile which upon the outbreak of the conflict is the only nation in the region to voice support for Britain however Chile WILL NOT directly support the British through the use of its own military or allow RAF assets to be deployed on Chilean territory.

Outside of these two vessels, the only British naval asset is an OPV based in the Falklands.

Instead of taking on the three Typhoons, would it not be possible that these three aircraft could be destroyed on the ground by means of a SF raid? This would be a near suicidal mission, but that is what SF are for. Air superiority would the be established already.
