Well as far as the OP goes, Argentine J-20s are simply something to be left on the model display stand. The J-20 will probably go the way of the J-8, it will have “signs of interest” from outside parties but will never be exported.
Realistic thinking would see the Argentine AF become more of a COIN or CAS air force, keeping its Pampa’s and Pucara’s as the main fleet while holding on to a small number (10-12) of an aircraft in the used F-16C/D area.
Anything else is wishful thinking
how the hell are people attempting to compare a prototype that nobody knows anything about system/weapon wise to a production aircraft that will probably be updated significantly by the time the prototype aircraft has entered service?
[QUOTE=a89;1973619]There are no plans to acquire MiG-29 so far. I thought those SMT rejected by Algeria were a good option for many countries, as RSK MiG could not afford to have another scandal. By the way, I did not know about the 250 million $ deposit.
I don’t understand what you are trying to say, how can Peru have no plans to acquire them when they have already been delivered????
Who said the Bangladesh AF is unhappy with the Fulcrum? Every report I have read, including the recent AFM article, suggests the Bangladesh AF is very happy with the Fulcrum
In addition, Peru has recently acquired new MiG-29s (SM version I believe, no humpback)
:diablo:Lol, sorry my bad. At first I thought he was inventing aircraft designations, then I wiki searched it and saw the Hustler. Then my internet played up and I couldn’t save myself such red facedness as the comment box wouldn’t let me edit my comment lol
Without changing this threads subject, why was it terrifying for the crews?
yes you are right. same reason like why us still keep b52 but retire b1 and b58, china do the same.
also if china really need to buy tu22, it can get them from ukraine much more easily than russia because ukraine is good friend and loyal ally to china.
1). What the hell are you talking about the retirement of the B-58?
2). Ukranian Tu-22’s are either in storage or have been returned to Russia, and since when is Ukraine an ally of China?
Hey Tigershark…is it just me or does the first J-20 look identical to the second one??? I ask this as you clearly had a problem with the PAK-FA prototypes look identical…different rules for the J-20???
The only stealthy thing about the J-20 is its stealth….WAAAAA HAHAHA :dev2:
It looks the same because its a T-50. I don’t see what you’re getting at and from my opinion you’re a troll who does not deserve any respect whatsoever.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought it was weird that Tigersharks comment of “the new pakfa look the same as the last” was dumber than dumb.
Dear Tigershark, have you failed to pick up on all of those F-35 prototypes that looked…OMG!!!…IDENTICAL!!! Do you think the Pentagon noticed??? :diablo:
Confucius say “Chinabot brain like Swiss cheese, full of holes!”…
Guys, don’t get drawn into another “lets bash Russia” thread…plenty of those on the net. If the OP is lost in the mid-nineties then leave him there, don’t try to educate him it’s a wasted effort as always
I’m gonna make up a fictional nation, the Bongo Bongo Republic :D.
Bongo Bongo is a wealthy Eastern African country which shares its borders with Ethiopia and the breakaway Free Republic of Bongotania. Bongotania broke away twenty years ago and there are constant skirmishes as they claim my nations vast mineral deposits and constantly attempt to take the small port city of Muna Bongo, the only link for Bongo Bongo to the sea.
The FRB is backed politically by the US, mainly due to the BBR having been a a major regional ally of the former Soviet Union and present day Russia. Today, the BBR plays host to three thousand Russian military personnel who service mainly cargo Russian and UN cargo transports heading to various hotspots around the region. In return for allowing the presence of Russian/UN personnel in the BBR, Russia has deployed a full squadron of MiG-29 fighters and police the skies over Bongo Bongo.
Russia has also been a major supplier, supplying 24 x Su-25 ground attack aircraft, 10 Mi-24 Hinds and 26 Mi-17 Hips all for armed troop transport.
Transport is provided by six ex-RAF C-130 and two ex-Russian AF An-26 transports which cover the range of BBR quite well, but budget allowing we should be getting a sole new build C-17 for medevac missions.
Airborne warning is carried out by two ex-USN E-2 Hawkeyes donated to the BBR following the BBR’s anti-piracy efforts.
We have no real recce abilites outside of low level Su-25 flypasts so this is an urgent requirement given that the FRB is re-equipping with modern Chinese ManPads and has made new claims to BBR territory.
is that he Kuznetsocv after recent overhaul???
If the Japanese are/were so confident in taking the islands then go ahead and try, Russians could use some target practice.
Re-directing 1 SS-20 to Japan should settle all problems for USSR!
Yeah, leaving the US in a bit of a situation. How can the US condemn what they did themselves lol.
Given the mess that the various armed forces were in, Japan may have pulled it off. (Just don’t try it today though).
If he is Chinese and resident of the PRC, the freedom to make an ass of himself is probably the only real freedom he has…so he is intent on making the most of it :dev2:
