One of the reasons I don’t get involved as much as I would like to on this forum. Too much “lets bash Russia and see if we get a response hee hee hee”…pathetic
so you’re saying Russian industries cannot provide an ASW or SAR helicopter? interesting.
read what he said again, he never suggested that Russian didn’t build ASW helicopters…just that the Lynx was probably better in the role. Russia’s main ASW helicopter is the Ka-27 which doesn’t (AFAIK) carry missiles and lacks the range of the Lynx/Merlin
If you search the net you will find this footage on a lot of other sites, it is generally believed that the MiG was inoperable and used as bait for the rebels. Quite old footage
I am willing to bet that the J 20 will enter service before the PAK FA.
I can prepare beans on toast and have it on a plate a lot faster than I can prepare a good sunday roast, I hope you get my point 🙂
MiG SKAT perhaps or something different???
Does anyone know of any feed back from the Algerians regarding the Yak-130? How have the pilots found flying them?
Egyptian, as has been said the markings including the high viz orange all say E.A.F.
Since when has Syria flown Egyptian MiG’s???
The logic is flawed, because Turkey do possess more modern Aircraft so it don’t have to rely that much on Air Defense, I doubt anything Syria has any chance over Turkish skies.
If the NATO get involved Russia will not, they neither have the will nor the resources to get engaged in conflicts outside their peripheries (read Georgia)
Now eventually you will pull your head out of your own ass right???
Yeah so what everybody has Nukes. Nukes have no purpose in limited conflicts no one will be risking MAD for small conflicts.
Conventional force levels says you are wrong and that U.S is the only super power.
and we all know how much that means these days. the US can’t do **** without two dozen allies behind it…how’s that Afghan thing working out for ya???
Never get tired of seeing Pak-Fa. The initial aircraft to be delivered to the RuAF in the next couple of years, will they be the prototypes?
Come again???
I’m glad you said it, because I thought I’d missed something.
Given that the average ROKAF pilot has far more flight hours logged, is flying an aircraft far more advanced than even the most modern North Korean MiG and has the added advantage of AWACS support, the only people who think the KPAAF actually stands a chance are the deluded Generals who think the Great Leader will suddenly appear to lead them into battle.
I seriously hope this guy is joking…if not I wonder how he missed the British MiG-29
This will probably come across as being quite harsh, but the poor grammer in the text really put me off reading these articles.
A lot of it sounds interesting, but the fact that there is a need to study the wording and the need to try to understand what the author is trying to say is off putting.
Plus some of the diagrams leave the reader wondering what the data presented proves. For example, the “casue and effect” diagram. Big red arrow pointing to SR-71 with several “legacy fighter” boxes surrounding it and various other boxes with various data, this diagram has no obvious meaning
