    Hampden documentation

    Hello there!

You seem to have started on the same path as I have, attempting to
build a Hampden !, although I have no plans for world scale
competition, I just think it is a very remarkable aeroplane.

I have a similar idea about the size as you have, something
like scale 1:6 to 1:7 and also planning to use radials, probably
two of the Saito’s. I’m in about the same project phase as you
semm to be trying to collect as much drawings, pictures and other
    usable items as possible.

What I have collected until now is

‘The hampden File’ a book by Harry Moyle

‘The Handley Page Hampden’ a leaflet in the ‘Profile Publication series’ by Philip J.R. Moyes

‘A very Remarkable Aeroplane’ published in ‘Flight’ magazine May 1939, includes pictures and a general description of how the full scale aircraft was built

‘The Swedish Hampden’ published in ‘Svensk Flyghistorisk Tidskrift’ by Mikael Olrog, some pictures mainly from the inside of the aircraft and some text (in swedish) describing how the Swedish Goverment/Air Force tried to purchase Hampdens before the WW2

‘Easy Built Models’ in US have a 30″ span balsa kit originally from 1942 which includes a simple plan that maybe can be scaled up with suitable modifications for details etc.
