I still remember the eight Mustang tailchase in perhaps 1994…..Fan-bloody-tastic. That’s what keeps me going back.

Considering how many people fly across the world to come, it seems churlish not to drive for an hour or two, regardless of the scheduled programme.

If the pilot was VFR qualified, and found himself in dense, low-level fog, I think you are some way down the road of working out the likely cause of the poor fellow’s demise.

It might have been terrorism, or low level aerobatics, or and attack of hiccups, but somehow the fog factor won’t go away.

If you have an enthusiasm for airworthy WW2 aircraft, and you know that it is the probably the premier global event for such aeroplanes, and if you believe that the Fighter Collection still have the organisational knowledge and connections which they have shown over the last 15 years………..

then you could just take a crazy chance, and go anyway.;)

    but any comments welcome.

    Cheers.
    🙂

    Any comments?

Well, to be honest, they’re a bit on the small side, and it might be worth zapping those dust spots, and positioning yourself so you are not shooting into sun.

BUT.. the main thing is you were keen enough to go and record the event, and you took the trouble to post them here, so it has been a worthwhile exercise, and if you keep at it, you are sure to get better and better. 🙂

Where are these Kestrels coming from?

I have an idea, having seen some being conjured back into life, but wonder if there is a well-known ‘supplier’, as you might say.

Most of the press/media are even saying how much of a logistical challenge it will be to get people’s money back to them; .

I bet it wasn’t much a logistical challenge getting the money out of the fans in the first place.

People who spout this sort of B.S should be crucified. The outrages which we meekly accept are quite astonishing.

    Bumps a daisy !

What a crappy clip from the BBC, leaving out all the salient facts of
what?, where? why? when? who? and couldn’t even film the landing(s) properly!

Still, looked nice flying over Amersham at 13.00 hrs, in company with a Stampe, I think.

Did the bomb load detonate, to make such a huge crater?

I don’t imagine there would be much in the way of human remains to bury. 🙁

It looks to be a very peaceful place now.
