G-AROY The late John Jordan’s old mount, star of many Barnstormers Displays,
featured in ‘Biggles’ movie’ and ‘Handful Of Dust’.
He did some dusting in the states in the ’60 ‘s and brought it home with him.
Quite right, NOBODY should know about the Stirling until Saturday.
Cracking stuff, Britannia.
Makes me feel hot and weary just looking at the photos!
Check out the DSLR’s listed on E~~Y. Should be something in your price range.
Caveat Emptor, of course,
I think the ‘How Low Can You Go’ thread must be a contender- It runs to 15 pages or so, as well.
Seemed pretty fair to me. Most good ‘uns seem to go for 4-5K.
I was flicking through some old mags from ’95 and they were the same price then.
The Luton Duet in this month’s PF looked good value at 5.5K, if it really is a two-seater for two, rather than just a single seater for the more ample gentleman, in the style of an Evans VP2

Various Yaks, too ho-hum to mention.

Saw the advert in Popular Flying. It’s always a shame when you have to let them go.
Still, this time next year you will probably be patrolling the western front!

His ECG machine does an instant readout, so there is no messing about sending stuff to the CAA, which I believe some do.
That Cessna has been a hangar queen for a fair few years now, six or seven if not more.
Might have known this would come back to haunt us.
‘But the’re gone. DEAD! All of them!’
‘ You can’t kill a Squadron!’ {stirring music swells- Wingco strides off into sunset}
Picture here of the final flypast over Bovingdon.
One went to Biafra, some of the others ended up at Strathallen.
Mike, I am pleased you found that, as I too was sure that there were more than 11 registered, and infact at Reno a few years ago, there were about 14 present.
There have been a few casualties over the years, but I question whether eight airframes have been destroyed beyond repair.
She looks fabulous, but has not surprisingly, has a rather ‘indoors’ dusty patina; a good rain shower would help.
This was going to be a flyer for Doug Arnold, so I wonder if it could ever be brought up to taxiiing status?
🙂 CAA informer huh?
Well, as it happens, they were at 501 feet, so tough monkeys
