Yes, me too ! I’m staring at just three cards when there is normally at this time, fifteen or twenty. Could this be an indication of my present popularity?

I am working hard on an answer that won’t hurt your feelings.

    Standby.

    A medical mercy-mission ?

”A South African military plane crashed Wednesday after disappearing en route from a Pretoria air base to Mthatha, the nearest airport to Mr Mandela’s home in Qunu village.

There have been persistent rumours that the aircraft was carrying medical personnel or medical supplies for Mr Mandela.

Mr Mandela was last hospitalised in February for what was described as “routine tests,” and later turned out to have been a minor surgical procedure to determine the cause of abdominal pain.”

This seems like an obvious time for a press-conference, surely ?

    Or maybe in January.

People do SO enjoy being part of a DRAMA (!!) , even when it is ramped up out of next-to-nothing.

    1) Put away the suicide pills.
    2) Step away from the keyboard.

    Blimey.:confused::rolleyes:

Actually, if one can step back from the mob fury, the humanitarian thing to do would be to keep a close eye on the two radio presenters, whose mental state may well be as fragile as the late nurse.

If one perceives that the critical contempt of the whole world is upon you, behaviour become unpredictale. Everyone has a breaking point.

The world is becoming ever more litigious, and even mentioning the position of someone in relation to an organisation is a direct implication.

Is it really becoming more litigious?

Or is it like paedophiles and the ice caps, pretty much unchanged for generations, but hyped beyond all reason and proportion by a rapacious press, and accepted as ‘fact’ by an incurious public.

The reality is that very few cases of Libel or Slander get much traction beyond the ‘hissy-fit’ stage.

Royal celebrity figure, media hysteria, death, public fury fueled by media.

We have been here before. RIP the nurse.

Poor baby not even yet born, and already there is death in the narrative.

If they can build full -size replica Lancasters ( and the Chinese have) , technically it is a reasonable notion.

As always, just a matter of money.

Another strange one from Belgium, August 1959: Spitfire XIV on a pole at Beauvechain, marked MN-350 (350 Sqd) and SG-3 under wing, but is really SG-31, ex RN201. Maybe the “1” of the underwing serial had been washed away, but it certainly looked as if the phoney SG-3 had been added after withdrawal from service. Rescued in 1990 it became G-ASKP, and flew as RN201 from 2002. Sold to USA as N201TB.

    Shome mishtake surely ?

ASKP is a DH 82a Moff
