All the way to Lanzarote and all you could come back with is a load of shots of Monarch, MyTravel and Thomsonfly?? :diablo: 😀
Fantastic shots Dan! An inflight cockpit visit on Binter – well, you lucky begger! Think I would have to go with the wingview of the Pyrenees for my favourite, but I also love the new TUIfly livery, I think they look better in yellow than blue!

Has G-MSJF arrived in the UK? Seen no reports as yet

TF-LLZ is one of the leased B757’s

Haven’t seen MSJF noted anywhere yet, was due to arrive yesterday.

You sure TF-LLZ is one of the B757’s, because it’s gone to Girjet of Spain!?

125.675 is active over that way, believe it is high-level stuff coming off MCT for IOM and beyond.

Yes G-MSJF will be based at GLA for a few weeks until the ABZ base opens, and then it will move up there.

Also GLA get a Travel Service B738 on lease for the summer. Presumably to allow a 738 to move down here to MME as the first aircraft? Rumoured that the 2nd one will be a 736.

Apparently it is now CELO/R based at EDI, and Jet2 have ZAPZ on lease from Titan at STN, where CELZ is I don’t know.

Jet2 fly a number of mail runs at night for the Royal Mail……

Newcastle-Stansted is usually flown by G-CELA
    Edinburgh-Stansted
Edinburgh-East Midlands are usually flown by G-CELR/Z (note CELR flies for Flyglobespan during the day)
Exeter-East Midlands is flown by G-CELW (the pure freighter hence based EXT)
Stansted-Edinburgh is usually flown by G-CELO (at the moment whilst CELP is away on maintenance)
Edinburgh-Stansted is flown by an Atlantic Electra also under EXS callsigns (switches regularly)
Belfast-East Midlands x2 is usually flown by G-CELY (BFS based QC)

These all run 5 nights a week (Mon-Fri)

Apparently leased from bmi until May when Astraeus should take over with 767’s, the A330 will then return to bmi and replace the 767 (whose lease finishes at the around the same time)

I believe that the bigger low costs will take over, as Andrew said, and also I think regional airlines such as Flybe and Eastern will continue to grow. One big revolution in the last 20 years and the next 20 years (I believe) will be the loss of charter airlines on short haul routes, mostly concentrating on long haul routes (such as Monarch are doing now)

Oasis Hong Kong LGW-HKG probably your best bet?

As for photo/spotting places at some of those airports – PM me and I’ll get you in contact with one of my mates who has been out there on a trip. I know he visited Jakarta and possibly others on your list.

Well my local airport had a fairly quiet year for the first half, and then the second half of the year has been pretty turbulent!

It all started in September when bmibaby announced they were pulling out (2 based aircraft operating ALC AGP CDG JER LGW NQY ORK PMI).

Shortly after, Ryanair announced a new 3x weekly service to Girona/Barcelona, due to start in February 2007.

Wizzair seized the opportunity by announcing new 3x weekly service to Warsaw that will start in July 2007.

FlyGlobespan have then announced 2 based aircraft, one coming in March (ALC AGP FAO PMI) and then the 2nd in June (IBZ JER MAH NCE PUY and upgrading ALC AGP PMI). Still rumours of TFS to be added, and may see an announcement towards the middle of the summer as regards to what happens over the winter (long haul has been mentioned).

In December we have seen the approval of big expansion plans by both Stockton and Darlington Council’s, and this expansion should start in 2007. It will see an extended and improved terminal, 9 new stands, plus a maintenance/cargo village on the south side.

To add to that, towards the end of the summer a new terminal frontage was completed, giving the terminal a much nicer brushed metal look to the front!

So all in all, over baby pulling out I think we’ve done pretty well! 8 routes replaced with 11 routes!

Just noticed that the Manx2 flight from the Isle of Man (Flight BPS302) Which should be an BAe Jetstream 31 has now just diverted to Blackpool Airport.

Any ideas what LBA have been getting recently on these flights? Is it the J31’s (G-PLAJ or others?) and if so they should be using ‘JXT’ codes!?
