Good Job Steve!
Overtime for everyone! Hurray.
All I can say is I worked with a guy at United who ejected out of a F-4 durning the 6 day war. We called him woody! Very impressive

Whisky I agree with you. I remember when CO Tried to steal my pension money.
You need to get out to Victorville. There were Ex Delta L-1011’s all over the place. The L-1011 is where I first ran across the RB-211. They were always broke. You had to scramble to get those things turned around. I think ATA is the only operator of those now and only as charter for troops.
The moved to march around 85, 86. Something like that. I wish I had something like those big Old Air Guard Hangers! Going to the Bahammas this week. Were taking Chalks over to the Island. Can’t wait! I wish I were a Pan AM Clipper pilot. I’ll post some pictures and I’ll have to do some of Chino also.
I like the Boeing 757 when they are not beat to death. And I like the Airbus Also. But RR Are trash engines. GE Engines I would rate as (# 1) Easy to Fix and have alot of power. (#2) PW are very reliable. Bringing up the rear RR and if they didn’t buy Allison I would rate them #4. I have spent many a night working on those RB-211s trying to get them running. The only reason operators like them is because they are cheap. I don’t like the quality of RR products. Also the only reason RR and GE will provide engines for the 7E7 was PW walked away from the deal.
He must have saw that Young One’s episode? I told you British Television was evil!
They are easy to install . I have installed several retro fits to commuter A/C. Just think about it. Very simple switch with a striker plate that is open when compressed, closed when the gear is fully extended. That doesn’t mean they are murphy proof. I know pilots that put the gear in the up position so exactly after takeoff the gear comes up. However if you hit a bump on the runway and the plane lifts the gear will fold.
Don’t get me going about RR. They are the bottom of the big 3 engine makers.
The were F-4s at ONT at that time. When I flew at reid’s Helicopters we flew into Ont for Jet A for the Jet ranger. Sorry been gone a while digging drainage ditches for the wifes new castle.
When you been there , Done that, We’ll talk about it then
