It is interesting that all of the labels are in english and not cyrilic.
Good Questions
How about the range , do the SAR radar has a considerable longer range than normal radar and FLIR in air to ground mode
I have heard of SAR RADAR being able to go through clouds. If the image can be processed enough, it can reveal an almost photo-like resemblance of the target.
SAR
I would go with a SAR RADAR over a FLIR for general search pattern. The FLIR can be used to zero-in on targets, found by the SAR.
Looks as if the B-52 is not wearing a national marking on the waist.
I believe the rebels used a gun to down the jet, which was flying really low at the time (BBC). 12.7mm or 23mm I would guess.
It maybe the overall complete spending on the “Ministerstvo Oborona” but it’s unlikely to be the amount projected spent on new aircraft.
Will America spend 720 billion dollars on new aircraft in the next 7 years? Here’s an interesting link:
I don’t think the American economy will make it that far. Unfortunately…
Tanks?
Tanks?
I don’t think so. It is very possible, though unlikely, the F-35 may meet the PAK-FA in combat one day.
Ship-based sensors
Not even compare to Helicopter? If we’re desiring combat radius here, why did US navy dismiss S-3 viking so quickly?
Perhaps ship-based sensors made-up the difference, negating the need for the S-3. A ship can dispatch a helicopter for precision and diversive measures. It could be just plain old budget tightening.
Loiter Time
When we say the speed for F-35 will be too fast to achieve the mission of anti-sub, are we forgetting what speed that P-3 is?
The ability to remain on station for a decent amount of time is significant. The F-35 does not have the endurance of platforms like the P-3 and P-8. Even with inflight refueling, the comparison is not even close to realistic.
Nice!
I remember that film.
Cool Movie Prop
From an upcoming movie about the Geronimo raid

1. Russian Mig-21 and US F-16
2. Pakistan F-16, Mirage III and F-7
3. Indian Mig-27 and Singapore F-16
That MiG-21 looks like one of the Red Eagle’s aircraft from the 1980’s.
I believe the Saudis retired their F.3’s when the Tiffies arrived.
Based on OAO KTRV export figures for 2012, Indonesian AF have ordered Kh-31Ps ($6.3mil), R-77s and Kh-29Ts ($8.8mil) and Kh-59MEs ($5.2mil)
Do you have a picture of the order? 🙂
