I beleive from the 1st March Loganair will take over all the Scottish Highland and Islands routes from BA.This will invole all the ATPs aircraft and also crew as well.
Try the Raddisson at Manchester the rooms at the back have great views over the apron.I stayed overnight en route to the Dominican Republic and watched the comings and goings with a clear view:D

Steady now folks
From one who knows there not all that bad.If you come out the charter league most of all the main carriers who supply first and buisiness class meals to there passengers request a very high standard of meal.
And in many cases the flight catering companies who supply these have specialised chefs that concentrate purely on that customer.
Gone are the days of the savoury snack and the afternoon tea that used to grace the shuttle on its daily flights from GLA -LGW LHR replaced by the Deli Bag.
So have others tried the deli bag option (jmc)
And as the airlines try to compete with costs it this side of the industry that has to adopt a more innovative methods of trying to suite both types of customers.

Great for Edinburgh with the new Continental route but alas I have my fears. AA have already reduced their service to GLA this year to just 13 weeks . Does any one want to hazard a guess on how many of their passengers end up in Edinburgh and how economical it would be for them taking the direct route. Also the same could apply to Continentals GLA route ( how many passengers) . I do beleive that some where along the line GLA services will take a hit as a result of this.

On the radio today Ren the previous owner of Direct Holidays / Motherwelll FC stated That a company he is involved in will run flights to Cuba Bahamas Dominican from Gla commencing May 04. This company at present runs a Canadian Charter flights to these destinations

To go schedules to Dominican you would have to go via the US But a lot of the major cities seem to have flights to Puerto Plata
( New York ,Miami) and it is strange to see Continental 737s and AA aircraft with propelors . There is a web site www. dominican vacations(may have debbie at the front) that lists every hotel on the island with a breakdown every beach in fact its like an island a-z
Nice pics Ren .
Yesterday morning the Continental Flight from Newark had a burst tyre on landing and had all the fire engines out to acompany it on to the stand. Today at lunchtime there is still a Continental sitting is it per chance the same one ? they were struggling yesterday trying to fit a new tyre.
