Just noticed that he recently sold the book Spray Can Art, Id say hes been rumbled! There are very similar characters in Spray Can Art to the painted ‘Thunderbolt’ rudder section aswell, surely cant be coinsidence.

is it not the one which was reported in flypast last month for a shropshire based owner?

Just had a look at last months Flypast but the other Yak 3 in there has different markings to this. It would be excellent if it was staying at Headcorn! I was up at headcorn for the Flying Proms last weekend, absolutely brilliant display by the two Mustangs (Janie and BBD).

It was reported on a radio news programme that infact it was a mock up of a V1! That was made in this country and used as a practice bomb for bomb disposal teamS during the 1940’s. So quite a few different stories but does anyone actually have real one?

TFC clip-winged merlin Spitfire was displayed at Headcorn Flying Proms last night by Pete Kynsey so could be out and about today.

Peter Monks MK IX TA805 came over Shoreham village near Sevenoaks this afternoon at 3:30. He displayed over the village for about 10 minutes making low passes through the valley and countless victory rolls, a great sight and a completely unexpected!

A merlin engine Spitfire just passed over my house in Orpington. Might be mistaken but it looked to have clipped wings so possibly BBMF.

Merlin engined Spitfire MK IX heading toward Biggin Hill at 12:45 this morning. No doubt TA805 out for a spin again.

The Spitfire that is listed as ARC: Spitfire IX

I am assuming that this is Peter Monk’s Kent Spitfire.

    Can anyone confirm this?

I think the ARC MK IX is the two seater version painted in Dutch markings, I could be wrong.

    DC3

    and not really historic but

Two Tucanos in very close formation over a Sunny Southend!

I saw 5 Tucanos yesterday in formation around the Biggin Hill area.
